The student will develop a brochure or flyer related to a health care policy topic of their interest. This topic may be local, state, national or international in nature. It should be concise and include talking points which should gain support for your cause. The purpose of this assignment is to: Identify a health care policy of interest to the public Identify pros/cons associated with the health care policy Identify students’ understanding and views of current health care policy at the local, state, national and international levels. Promote advocacy skills of the future nurse. Identify a health care policy at the local, state, national or international level that you feel is important. Include short introduction paragraph on your brochure/flyer. Create “talking points” to gain support/opposition for the policy. Talking points should include references. (No more than a sheet of paper, front and back. Should incorporate eye catching design.)
