A) Concept of process evaluation
Process evaluation is considered as a way that how can the program which is to be
implemented is being accessed. The whole process of the evaluation involves the operations as
well as implementations but is quite dissimilar to the outcome evaluation as it focuses on the
efficacy of the program and the expected results. The value of process evaluation is that it helps
in the gathering of data and information and also the evidences when required. Evaluation of the
process acts valuable (Cho and Lee, 2011). It is valuable because of some factors which are as
following. It helps in clarifying the outcomes, focuses on the attention, supports the ongoing
process of learning and is able to influence the future decisions and actions. There are five types
of evaluation namely the formative, process, outcome, economic and the impact evaluation. In
the formative and the process evaluation, the use of these can be analysed at the time of
development of a new program and in the beginning of it. After the program has been developed,

program. In the impact evaluation, its use can be analysed while the current program is being

i. To what extent have the resettlement services enabled the refugees to successfully resettle
into the community?
Although data and information can be collected by various sources such as
primary or secondary. The primary data is the data that is being collected for the first
time and the secondary data is the data that is being already collected by some external
body. The primary data includes the interviews, surveys etc. whereas the secondary data
includes sources like online, books etc. In this, the primary data will be used. For the
above question, data will be collected through interviews. A relevant sample of refugees
will be selected and interviewed. The data will be collected through open ended
questions. These questions will be based on finding out the ways in which refugees are
able to settle into the community with the help of resettlement services. So, it can help in
enabling the refugees for settling into the community.
ii. How effective are vocational training sessions in reducing the rate of unemployment
among refugees?
For the above question, data will be collected through primary as well as secondary
sources. Secondary sources will include information about the unemployment rates of refugees
before and after vocation training session. Further, primary data will be collected through
surveys from the refugees. These will contain their feedback regarding the benefits that
vocational training sessions provide to them. Hence, survey will help in obtaining accurate
information about the ways in which vocational training sessions help in reducing the rate of
unemployment among refugees.
