Bentley is one of the leading British manufacturer that is engaged in the production of
luxury cars and SUV’s. Its headquarter is in Crewe, England. The supply chain of Bentley is
smart and sustainable. This means that its supply chain has an inculcation of smart technology
and sustainability that guides the company to meet its economic objective along with preserving
the environment. It builds a fast, good and best car. Being having an association of the
company’s logistics centre with the main supply hall it works in the direction of reduction of
30%. Likewise, being having a greater involvement of solar panel for energy production it serves
100% sustainability with regard to energy (Wilson, 2021). It is also to be considered that the
supply chain scope of the Bentley is worldwide which enable it to deliver its products across the
entire globe.

Procurement and supply chain management framework
Supply chain management refers to flow of good that includes all the process by which the
raw material will be converted into finished goods that is being delivered to the customers (Min,
Zacharia and Smith, 2019). Here the raw material is counted as upstream while the final product is
considered as downstream. This means that the suppliers are always upstream while the customer
who consumes the goods are considered as downstream. It leads the business to gain the
competitive advantage along with satisfying the needs of the customers.
Procurement refers to a process by which the company can acquire the goods and services
that is usually related with external sources. This means that it is a process that enable the
company to obtain goods and services from the external suppliers (Mena, Van Hoek and
Christopher, 2018). This process is usually executed with the method of bidding. It is an important
part of the supply chain because through this process company can acquire those goods and
services that it does not possess.
