INTRODUCTION A portfolio of evidence is defined as repository for work that is helpful in demonstratingwhether an individual is able to apply knowledge and skills and demonstrates behaviour which isidentified in standards. A portfolio of evidence is defined as a folder or workbook that containscollection of files. This includes skills and knowledge that an individual must possess. Theportfolio evidence will help in organising training log, and outline reflective statements that areinvolved in portfolio. The portfolio is a requirement for end point assessment ( Alqisie A. andAlqurran,2016). . The following report consists of portfolio of evidence, life line mind and mapchart including events, connections, period of time and achievements. The general expectationfor this writing report is to be analytical and organized. Abilities and skills which need to contribute to organisation which will enhance growth ofcompany Each and every career needs different knowledge, skills and abilities which are necessaryfor success. According to me, knowledge is defined as theoretical understanding of a subject. Ihave to enhance my skills and knowledge if I want to do effective work. As I want to succeed inmy life by becoming a good manager, it is very important for me to build skills and knowledge.This will help me to work in an organisation effectively and achieve goals and objectivesproperly. For instance, in context of manager I have to develop my communication skills andinterpersonal skills so that I can attain my goals and objectives. I want to become the bestmanager and do my work appropriately. This will give me pride and prestige. There are someskills required by individuals to perform extraordinarily and effectively (Avila, and Et. Al,2016). As a manager, I should have technical knowledge too for improving my performance. Ihave to build skill that will help me to recruit and hire new employees who are talented andskilled. This skills set consists of various aspects like soft skills and critical thinking . As I wantto develop my career so I have to develop skills mentioned below - Communication skills – The communication skill is first skill that a potential employerwill notice .When I go for giving any interview, communication is the first thing that anemployer observes in me. Employers observe the way I talk over phone, the way I provide all myinformation in emails in which I attached my CV including offer letter .. While I was developingmy communication skills it is also important that I should focus on my writing abilities too. In an

interview, if it is asked to write anything then I have to take time and check it correctly. Thiswill help in improving my work and getting appreciated .. The way of my communication mustbe impeccable because this is way employers expect me to communicate with clients andcolleagues at my workplace. Analytical and research skills – I must develop analytical and research skills. I shouldevaluate situations critically and analyse them appropriately for good decision making. If I willbe analytical and have strong research skills than it will differentiate me from other individuals.My analytical skills demonstrates determination, ability for assessing different scenarios andcommitment for giving good answers to employers. According to me, I must have ability tocritically analyse situations so that I can take better decision in the company. Flexibility and adaptability – Multi tasking ability should be there for development andalso for accepting flexibility so that I can work under any conditions, environment andsurrounding (Bernard, and Deo, 2015). If I am willing to work under a multitude of changingcircumstances is sought afterwards. If I am flexible and can fit into any environment then this isa big advantage for me. This demonstrates commitment of an individual towards the companyand this will affect career progression of mine. Interpersonal abilities – It is very important for me to have good interpersonal skills. Inbusiness environment it is very important to work with other individuals in an effective mannerand complete tasks or activities assigned. This ability is having some of merits and disadvantagethat are employers looking for. I should build ability for developing relationships with othercolleagues. I will inspire other people to do their work in an appropriate manner. Decision making and problem solver – Decision making and problem solving are inhigh demand and these are required by employers. The ability for identifying complex problemsand reviewing about related information in order to develop and analyse several options andimplement solutions. This ability helps me to distinguish between one employee with the otheremployee. This helps me in using critical thinking to rationalise a decision that will separate twoindividuals. Ability to plan, organise and prioritise work – This is an important skill or ability thatmust be present in me for becoming a successful manager. I should plan and organise my workin an appropriate manner so that my work will be more valuable. I have to give a specialattention in the way of planning my work and tasks and ensuring that work is done under

specified time. I should have the ability to finish my work in specified time frame. This will helpme to provide information easily. Ability to do multiple works -When I will be offered a job,, there is a job statement that iscovered in contract (Chantanarungpak, 2015). But in reality I am not with job description only. Ihave to involve in different areas of business, understand various steps and offer help insituations wherever necessary. Employers or recruiters need people who are good at handlingand managing multiple work. I should know how to manage work effectively and handleprojects and tasks and provide contribution to the organisation. Leadership or management skills – If I became a good leadership styles then it will beeasy for me to inspire other individuals towards doing what is correct. I can monitor othercolleagues in an appropriate manner. Every organisation needs managers who know how to leadand manage other people and make them do work effectively. Attention to detail – Attention to detail reflects that it is important that to have effectiveknowledge about business situation. This will help me in saving company from a lot of hassleand it keeps distance from catastrophic outcomes. Self reliance – This is a very important skill required by me to overcome all businesssituations. It is important to believe in my self ,my skills and abilities so that I can expect otherpeople to believe me. Self confidence is the key to manage each and every business situation. Public speaking – This is a very vital skill that must be present in an individual fortelling and providing knowledge to others. This requires a lot of confidence and practise andevaluating audiences. Public speaking is a skill that required self – confidence, practise andevaluating audiences. As a manager, I have to take interviews of individuals and analyse theircapability whether they are able to work in the company or not. Thus I have to hire people thathave good skills and knowledge. Tactfulness – It is helpful for me to be tactful in different situations. This skill will helpme in evaluating how to react while handling various issues (Chaudhry, Farooq, and Mushtaq,2014). Tactfulness is an essential factor that will help to manage different issues at workplace. Creativity – Creativity is an essential skill that should be present for doing my workmore effectively. This skill helps in finding reasons for innovation activity and resolves problemmore over having past experiences. If I will use innovative ways in working then it will lead to

improve processes and workflows in workplace. This helps me in saving time and cost and alsoit improves my performance. Ethics and integrity – When I will be working in an organisation, integrity and moralvalues are very important aspect . There are chances of various scandals that occur at workplaceand it is important to develop and maintain integrity. If I follow ethics and integrity then this willhelp my overall performance. Strong work ethic -I should be passionate about my work as then only I will be able toattain success. If a company wants to recruit employees then they look for passionate people whofollow ethics while working. This can be explained in an example – I should be punctual andarrive for work at time. I will do my work by following all ethical values and practices. Ability to accept Learn from criticism – Regular feedbacks are taken from employeesand this demonstrates and if a person is reacting positively towards them then it shows that he iswilling to work (Chen, and Yuan, 2016). Each and every individual has to learn constantly atworkplace and every person should have the ability to enhance abilities and skills. Personal career development The personal career development plan is defined as plan that helps in overcoming theproblem that are faced in life or business. This plan will help me to analyse problems I am facingand thinking about strategies and plans that will be helpful for me to improve my performance.There is a personal career development plan made which includes clearing doubts in my mindabout my career problems.
