INTRODUCTION
Self reflection of writing allows to express one's thoughts and situational experience. In
my life I had gone through many experiences that changed my life. Both good or bad situation
has changed my life (Krishnan and YUNUS, 2017). With the help of SWOT analysis and
personal development plan I analysed my skills and competencies.

MAIN BODY
SWOT analysis
Strength:
My parents said that I am good at organizing and planning the stuff. When I go on trip
with them I first analyse all the factors like accommodation, flight tickets price and I usually
made report of the place where I visited to. I am a good learner and focused person as my
university professor always appreciated me for easily learning new things. I am also good at
writing new stuff like poems, Quotes. With the help of these strengths I can achieve my goals
and get the desire result.
Weakness:
No one is perfect and I do have area of improvement. My biggest weakness is that I am
not good at time management which caused a lot of problems during my college days. I am
lacking in self-confidence, decision-making and in communication skills which develops
insecurities and self consciousness in me (Colomer and et.al 2018). I have very low patience
level as in a group project if I done my party early then I can't wait so long for others to complete
their tasks. I really need to work hard in these areas to do better.
Opportunities:
To grow in my life or to improve my weakness area I always seek for the opportunities. I
got an opportunity to speak up in college debate competition through which I developed self-
confidence. After this first experience I took part in various activities which improved my
communication skills and due to this I always come early for the practice sessions so it
ultimately improved my time management area.
Threats:
Being a impatient person is my biggest threat. As I can't wait for others and due to this I
might get hard on others. Anxiety of career also one of my biggest threat I always think about
my future although I posses all skills and knowledge to get a good job but still I feel anxiety what
if I failed in my interviews.

Skills required for an effective manager
For the development of the industry manager must have some skills which gives benefit
to industry. If the manager of organization lack in knowledge and in skills then it would be failure
for an organization. The skills which are required to become an effective manager are:
Interpersonal skill:
Interpersonal skills plays a very crucial role in management. As the role of manager is to
manage all the stuffs related to industry. To develop interpersonal skills in me I need to interact
with my colleagues to lead them in right direction. This skills allow me to work effectively as an
individual or as a team member. I need to harmonize with my employees to motivate them to do
their task effectively also it should be both professional and personal manner.
Organizational skill:
For the growth and to increase the value of industry manager must have organizational
skills. As a effective manager I need to deal with multiple jobs, with the help of organizational
skills I will be able to manage work loads, team work, meetings and company's review policy.

This skill allows me to allocate proper and adequate resources to the employees for the
betterment of the company. This skill helped me to become an effective manager.
Conceptual skill:
Conceptual skills of manager allows me to visualize and understands the company's
criteria. It helped me to know all the working parts of the organization also tends me to resolve
the issues effectively, it gives me analysation to solve any complex problem which enhance the
competitive advantage of industry (Friar and Beyerlein, 2021). Conceptual skill helps me to
predict the obstacles which cause the development of the company with this skill I can easily
cope up with this problem.
Technical skill:
Technical skills provide the knowledge in technologies to carried out specific tasks. For
the role of effective manager I need to enhance my technical knowledge as market is growing
with new trends to provide the good revenues and for the growth of company I need to learn
programming and computer operating techniques to manage the company. Also, I need to
understand the role of both programming and computer ethics skills.
Decision-making skill:
Decision-making skills for any organization played an important role in their growth or to
achieve their target successive goals. In fact, it is the main function for manager. To be an
effective manager I have responsibilities to take right decisions for the company, I have to take
fund, production, sales decisions by my own so it is necessary for me take good decision so it
will give advantage to my organization. This skill allows me to take quick and better decisions.
Administrative skill:
Administrative skill is very important to become a successful effective manager. This skill
allows me to coordinate, supervise or to control various management activities to cooperate
with the employees to implement the decisions of company in order to achieve the targets. This
skill improve my quality of work it allows me to work in a organized manner.
Leadership skill:
Good leadership always plays a crucial in growth of any organization. Manager work is
to manage whole company's environment. As an effective manage I must need to posses

leadership skills to lead my company in right direction. This skill tends me to make good
decision for the company, it allows me to remain cool and calm in complex situations. As a
effective manager all employees look after me so in need to lead them in a good manner or to
boost their morale to implement desired task (Timeea-Alexandra and Doina, 2018). With the
help of this skill I will be able to become an effective manager for my company.
Good communication skill:
Having good command in communication skill plays an important role in role of effective
manager. For good communication I need command on my language, if I am lacking in this skill
I will not be able to lead my team also I will be not able to make decision which cause difficulties
in achieving the goals of company. To deliver my thoughts and opinions regarding betterment of
company I must need to posses communication skills so that I will be able to lead my team to
achieve the goals.
Team building skill:
For the growth of company good team plays a essential role. For good effective team my
work is to develop interaction between the team members. I need this skill to develop healthy
and supportive environment so that employee can work better with each other (Williams,
Woolliams and Spiro, 2020). If a team member completes their task earlier than other and does
not offer help to their other team members so it will lead team to fail in their task, to resolve this
type of problem I need to notice irregularities in employees to correct the situation or by having
discussion with them to solve the problem. As a manager of the company it is my responsibility
to develop faith and trust in team members to carried out task effectively.
Time management skill:
Time management skills helps the organization to work productively and effectively. In
order to manage team's performance I need to improve my time management skill. This skill
enables me to guide my team members to proceed with their work in effective manner. It allows
me to analyse their working nature and also tends me to ask them about their relevant method
of work. Therefore, I need time management skill to improve the overall performance of my
team (Raza and et.al 2017).
Analytical skill:

Analytical skill allows me to analyse or detect the circumstances of particular situations.
As a manager there are many tasks to carried out one of the important task is to identify the
problem, this skill helped me to analyse the main source of the problem as I only need to
concentrate on main part, it allows me to break problems so that I only need to focus on
important part (Nowicka, Ciekanowski and Pauliuchuk, 2019). This skill enhanced my logical
skill, intelligence, and analytical ability. This skill enables me to logically proceed with any task
to produce predictable result for the company.
This module helped me out to the great extent as it improved my decision making skill.
Before participating in this module, I was lacking behind in problem solving and decision making
as I used to take too much time in making an effective decision. But after participating and
engaging in this module, I learned an effective way of making decision. Along with this, I came
to know that how to make better use of advanced technology and how to research or collect
appropriate data. I believe that all these skills can help me out in the future as it can help me out
in getting employment opportunities in my desired field. If I get employment opportunity, then I
would give credit to this module as it boosted my confidence and made me believe that I can
complete given tasks in an effective manner.
The concept and knowledge I gain from this module is that I can easily develop
command on my skills. From the sot analysis I got to know about my strength and weakness. I
improved my communication skills and develop self-confidence in myself through various
curricular activities (Ayers, Bryantand Missimer, 2020). I developed interpersonal skills to
become an effective manager which helped me to manage the management system of my
company. My self analysation helped me to know about my strengths that I am good in
managing the stuff or in organizing the stuff. I am good at focusing in concentrating stuff as my
professors always told me that I am a good learner which develops positivity in me, also I got to
know about my weakness which are I am not good in managing time also I am lacking in self
confidence which always created insecurities in me through this module I am able to work on
my weakness. I used to take classes for developing self confidence in me also I push myself to
take part in different activities which improved my communication skills and develops the self
confidence in me, by improvising the weakness it gives many opportunities to me through which
I grabbed to move forward in my life. By working on my weakness it gives me an opportunity to
become an manager of an organisation (Firdaus and Handriyono, 2018).
This module helped me to know about how effective manager posses its skills to
manage all company's stuff. By learning interpersonal skills, organisational skills, leadership

skills I became an effective manager of my company which gives me a different experience. In
addition, I can also say that this module made me realize that there is nothing that we cannot do
and I believe that team working plays a vital role because it increases our knowledge to the great
extent. Along with this, team working ability improves our relations with others that is also vital
for becoming successful and career development.
CONCLUSION
Through self reflective analysis I came across to my strength and weakness. Self
reflective model helped me to know my areas of improvement. These strengths of mine helped
me a lot to be an effective manager of my firm. All these opportunities and skills helped me to
develop good managerial environment in my company with the help of this I became productive
effective manager for my company.
