INTRODUCTION
The aim of this report is to analyse the challenge and issue which are faced by the firm
while operating their function in the global business environment. When a company operate their
functions at the global level, they may have to face the issues and the main reason behind is the
international business environment because this is very dynamic in nature (Killingberg,
Kubberød and Blenker, 2021). The key ethical issue which is being taken into consideration for
the completion of this report is the workplace conditions. This report is going to covers the
challenges and the code of conduct which is taken into account by the firm to effectively handle
and solve the issue of corporate social responsibility. Along with this this report also covers the
name of the professional or the government bodies which give advice to overcome form the issue
of CSR. In the end, this report covers a CPD plan to identify the appropriate actions and their
future impacts.
TASK A
Identification of issues
In the today's era, workplace conditions are the major issue which are faced by the
entities. Immense struggle is face by the each and every entity in order to develop an effective
and positive working condition within the workplace (Knights, 2019). There are different types
of issues such as the conflicts, decrease the productivity, termination, high turnover, decreased
satisfaction and many more which may result in affecting the working conditions and
performance of the company.
For example, like, Amazon has the negative working conditions. The workforce of the firm
has an issue regarding gruelling working condition. Within the company employees are forces by
the manager of the company in to work in constant manner without taking any break. Along with
this, the unnecessary production goals which are set by the company management make the
employees feel burdened and stressed and also they have to work in the unsafe working
conditions.
Microsoft is being considered as suitable example of the company of excellent condition.
The respective company management not only provide different types of growth opportunities to
their employees but also support them. The make make sure that they develop the rewarding,

respectful, diverse and inclusive culture for their employees so that they carry out the task with
full productivity and attain the entity goals effectively.
Code of Conduct
These are basically the set of rules and regulation which are followed by the organisation
in order to manage the different functions of the business in a very proper manner. The code of
conduct which are followed by the company has been discussed below: -
 Health and Safety: the management of the Amazon make sure to offer the happy, safe
and positive working environment to their employees. Therefore, every single employee
of the organisation must have to contribute in maintaining the safe working condition by
following the rules of health and safety (Citurs, 2019). If any injury or accident is
happened then workers are responsible to inform or report.
 Discrimination and Harassment: - equal opportunities are offer by the management of
amazon to their every single employee. All the illegal harassment and discrimination
issues are likely to be recorded by them and for this, separate policies are adopted by
them which support the equality & diversity within the business (Csirke, 2019). It is very
crucial that, employees and managers must have to follow the code of conduct, this helps
in addressing the issues of working conditions in effective manner.
Guidance from relevant professional bodies
There are different types of organisations which are working in order to solve the various
issues of working conditions. In context to this issue the name of the professional bodies has
been discussed below: -
International Labor organization: - this is basically a professional body of United nations
which mandate that everyone has to follow the laws of social & economic justice. This agency
was founded in 1919 and being considered as one of the oldest organisations. The entity has
around 187 members from different countries and have approx 40 offices worldwide. This
professional body make sure to provide the sustainable and productive working conditions to the
workers (Griner and Salmon, 2021).
 Fair Labor Association: - this professional body is developed by collaborative efforts of
the society people, universities and many more. The main motive of this government
body is to provide the effective solution for the abusive labour practices and assist the

organisation in order to organise the appropriate training and development programme.
This was founded in 1990 by Posner and comprise all the laws which are developed for
minimum wages, record keeping, child-labor standards and many more.
In order to face the issue of working condition, it is very important for the company management
to formulate the code of conduct. Here, COC comprises of different types of policies as well as
rules and regulations which need to be follow the by the entity to improve the working
conditions (Higgins and Darvill, 2021). In relation to this, Amazon has the effective code of
conduct which are related to the health and safety and discrimination & harassment. These rules
assist them to handle the issue in proper and effective manner. In addition, the professional
bodies like international labor organization and fair labor association which formulate the proper
laws and rules for protecting the rights of labor. By following all these rules and regulation the
organisation is able to develop and maintain the positive environment within the business and not
following of these rules result in facing the legal consequences like lawsuit, penalties and fine in
future.
CONCLUSION
From the above-mentioned report, it has bee conclude that nowadays the workplace
conditions have emerged as a main element of the organisation setting. Image of the firm has
been negatively affected if working condition are not positive. This report concluded that the
poor working condition is the main ethical issue which are faced by the firm all across the global.
Such type of issue is facing by the Amazon but they have the ethical code of conduct to handle
issues effectively. This report also concluded that there are different types of professional or
government bodies which are like international labor organization, fair labor association and
many more which are working for protecting the interest of lobor in effective manner.
