Tina Fey rules of communication are helpful in helping one improvise meaningful
conversation (Sull and Kathleen 6). Her four rules of communication are agree, agree and add
something, make a statement, and there are no mistakes but only opportunities. When making a
conversation with your partner, agree on what to say in order not to misunderstand the rules in
your conversation. Once you agree create a conversation around the statement your partner has
started. Whenever you are holding a conversation with your partner make statements rather than
asking questions that are out of context or against the set rules for the conversation (Hudson
20). During a job search, an interviewer might create a problem that requires one to solve.
Therefore, Fey rules will assist you go with the problem without opposing possibility of the
problem existing in the first place.
The obvious dilemma is the fact that a person’s perspective of oneself differs from what
other people think, feel, and view him or her. No one can correctly explain these different views
as some claim it is God’s way of keeping us humble (Ware 14). For instance, looking at my
personal perspective, I describe myself as hardworking, kind, beautiful, soft spoken, bright,
honest, selfless, neat, and always keen and a problem solver. According to me these are some of
my strongest attributes which I build on in order for to feel whole and satisfied with myself (Sull
and Kathleen 55). I endeavor to stick to my principles, values, and focus. I believe this is what
makes people respect me and value my viewpoints as I also respect their personality and
principles. Also, respecting other people amounts to great respect from them. Without value and
respect for others, I believe that it won’t be easy to command any respect even from my siblings
(Fleming 50).
In order to gain different perceptions I decided to interview my sister and also interview
my best friend since they are the one I spend most of time with (Michotte 40). Given our
