INTRODUCTION
Professional development is an activity that leads to enhancement of learning or maintain
professional credentials that helps in improving capabilities of staff through access to education
and training opportunities. In this project for enhancing professional development a personal and
professional plan development plan is introduced (Amburgo and del Carmen, 2019). This plan
will help in enhancing professional quality of an individual that is required while working in an
organisation so that all the activities can be performed more efficiently and objectives are
achieved in smooth manner.
MAIN BODY
Personal and Professional Development Plan
Personal development plan is an action plan centred around the skills required to
get success in the role that is performed while working towards achievement of
organisational objectives. A professional development plan is based on the values,
awareness, goals and objectives is required to enhance their skills for business and personal
objectives. Three professional development points are Verbal communication skills, time
management and ethical decision making.

What was the event that influenced your learning objectives ?
Event that has influenced my Verbal communication learning skills is when I was
instructing all the team members regarding their roles and responsibilities in organisation for
achieving targeted objectives (Healey and Hays, 2012).

The goal that I wants to achieve is enhancing my verbal communication skills and this is
one of the SMART goal. This goals is simple and specific which is meaningful and motivational
for achieving professional development. Enhancing communication is one of the achievable goal
that signifies relevancy with other goals and time required to this goal is approx 6 to 8 months.
What is your Learning objective ?
I want to achieve effective communication skills that helps to enhance my oral
communication skills in organisation and also moves towards achieving goals and objectives of
business organisation as a whole.
What steps will you take to achieve this ?
To enhance my communication skills first I will become a good listener so that when I
communicate I have better understanding of others point of view. While verbal communication
body language, expression are very important as they also conveys some message. To improve
communication these points will be considered and every time before I speck I will think about
what I am going to communicate (Kroll and Dussias, 2017).
How do you know if you have been successful ?
To know if I have achieved my goal of improved verbal communication skills I needs to
make certain analysis such as how well the subordinates are understanding what I wants to
convey. Together with this it needs to analyse that other individuals in the team are efficient in
communicating with me. When this is achieved it can be concluded that good verbal
communication skills is enhanced.

What was the event that influenced your learning objectives ?
Event that leads to influence my time management learning skills is when specific time
duration is assigned to me for completion of a particular task and I was inefficient in meeting
those deadlines. Even these deadlines were well measured and easy to meet and in could not
make it so it influenced me to learn time management.
What have you learnt so far ?
I have learned that goal of time management needs to accomplish while performing
various business activities. This goal is measured timely so that progress can be tracked and
motivation can be continued (Murdoch-Eaton and Sandars, 2014). It is one of the basis goal

while performing in business organisation so it is achievable for me. Time management is
relevant for effective business objectives and will be achieved with completion of a project.
What is your Learning objective ?
I want to become a individual who is efficient in performing all the activities in well
defined manner and as per time duration which is assigned to each activity. Through becoming
effective in time management all the activities will be performed on time and business objectives
will be achieved in more productive manner to generate targeted revenues.
What steps will you take to achieve this ?
To enhance time management skills I needs to first make a list of things that I needs to
perform on daily basis. While performing all the activities distractions must be avoided.
Together with this complex activities needs to be divided into small parts and all are performed
effectively. A deadline must be their for each activity and it must ensure that these deadlines are
achieved.
How do you know if you have been successful ?
When all the activities that I am performing will be completed on time then it can be
concluded that I have become successful in achieving this time management goal.

What was the event that influenced your learning objectives ?
The event that influenced the intention of enhancing ethical decision making quality is
when I was working with a team and a informal communication takes place between us. On that
point of time I came to know that all the employees in organisation are very keen to establish a
system which supports ethical decisions.
What have you learnt so far ?
I have learned that I want to achieve a goal that will enhance my ethical decision making
quality. This quality is important to establish a system in organisation which supports fair
decision making and all the subordinates gets influenced through this and tries to perform in
ethical or legal manner (SMART Goal Setting, 2019).
What is your Learning objective ?
Through enhancing my skills for ethical decision making I want to establish a five
principles in organisational system. These principals are autonomy, justice, beneficence, non-

maleficence and fidelity. These principals will help in establishing a system which supports
absolute truths in and of themselves in business organisation.
What steps will you take to achieve this ?
In the process of enhancing my ethical decision making skills at the first step I needs to
establish facts in a situation. These facts must be evaluated on the basis of legal or ethical issues.
Various options of decisions are identified and each decision is analysed for its results and best
option among available must be implemented as decision.
How do you know if you have been successful ?
To know that I have become successful in enhancing my ethical communication skills I
need to analyse various decisions taken by me while performing activities are as per rules and
regulations (Trede, Macklin and Bridges, 2012). All the decisions when taken by considering
welfare of all and not concentrated on single individual then it can be said that ethical decision
making quality has been enhanced.
CONCLUSION
Form the above project report it has been concluded that professional development
among employees will leads to generation of a workforce which is more efficient and productive
to attain all the business objectives. Various skills that requires improvement are set as goals in
the PDP plan and all the measures to achieve that goal will be taken so that employees can
become more productive and efficient. Workforce which is more productive will help in
achieving business objectives in efficient manner and business organisation will become
successful.
