INTRODUCTION
Professional identity refers to such practices which an individual had to maintained at the
time of committing their work in the organisation. They had to maintain certain norms and
standards which reflecting their identity and professional in the work. The individuals are judged
by their behaviours and the way they are dresses and present themselves in the interview.
Professionalism is must while they are occurring certain professional levels (Jones, Hall and
Bragg, 2019). This enhance their CV and identity and also represent eye catching reviews
through their behaviours and skills. In their report various aspects are determined and examined
which is to be taken care while attaining in the Hilton Hotel & Resorts. The founder of this hotel
is Conrad Hilton and it was founded in 1919 with having 570+ hotel around the world.
Professional ethics and standards are to be maintained by the employees and also reflecting the
duties of the employer to trained them in correct manners. In this report it also examines various
skills and competencies to develop the learning in professional practice.
MAIN BODY
1) Importance of on- going professional development and a self directed learning to enhance
professional identity
Hilton hotels and resorts carry the biggest brand name in the Market and they expect
from their employers and employees to maintain professional ethics at the time of their
engagement in the hotels. They have to carry certain norms and standard which are imposed by
the organisation at the time of working hours. I have examined that there are various ongoing
professional development norms which the employer and employee had to carry in the premises
(Cruess and Cruess, 2017). The duty of the employer has to be to manage their day to day
activities and task to be assigned to employer should be managed properly and also develop
various opportunities are given to employer to enhance the brand image of the organisation. I
evaluated that the success of the company depends upon the working and technique which is
used by the employer to trained their employees at work should be effective and implementing.
They are the only person who guides and support their employees to achieve their task in better
way. They have the right to trained employer regarding the company environment and their
working strategies and the matters related to their behaviours and culture also deepens upon the
employer to manage it properly (Van Lankveld and et.al., 2017).

I also find various facts regarding the management and professionalism in employee
which they have to carry at the time of presenting in the interview or working in the company. In
respect of Working in Hilton hotel, The duties of employer which I examined that they had to
always enhance themselves is respect of learning something new things. This helps them to bring
more changes and add many values in their CV and also their personal satisfaction is the major
aspect (Hammond, Cross and Moore, 2016). As the leaders or mangers can only guide them, to
achieve the goals but their personal interest in that project motivates them to complete it within
the stipulated time and efforts. They have to personally motivate them to play an ownership role
in the organisation and take decision which is helpful for the company and not for their personal
profits. They have to work in a team to achieve more productivity in the business, this helps
them to reduce risk in the company and also they play in safer side in the business (Sherwood
and O’Donnell, 2018).
The professional standards and norms which I have examined to be maintained by the
employer and employees in Hilton hotels are in respect of Presenting or appearance and their
look which they have to carry while attending the customers or can say the front office assistance
are to be well presentable and helpful as customers are attracted if they are welcomed with warm
wishes and guided with proper respect and care (Kidd, 2016). They have to maintain ethics and
norms at the workplace regarding the behaviour with their staff members or team mates in the
work place. Th main thing which the employer had to take care is to trained and motivate the
employees to commit such work in the proper manners and also they lead the teams in effective
way. So that they can work in the stress free environment and their retention ability are more
than comparison to other hotels which treat their employees and discriminate them according to
caste, sex and religion (Le Cam, Pereira and Ruellan, 2019).
Mainly Hotels uses Tuckman model of group development theory which is used in case
of task taken to the task completion of the projects.
