The attitudes and behaviour that an individual employs to successfully deal with others
are known as interpersonal skills. The word refers to an employee's willingness to interact
together with others in the workplace (Locher, 2017). Communication and listening qualities, as
well as personality and personal appearance, are also examples of interpersonal skills. In the
report there is discussion related to interpersonal skills that are required in different situations.
There is SWOT Analysis done to understand and identify the skills that are good as well as that
are weak so as to work effectively. In the end there is reflection related to SWOT Analysis.

TASK 1
Between the senior and junior nurses
Interpersonal skills play a vital role in every situation. It is important to note that the
behaviours of a person and the skills that he possess help to take actions. In the given situation a
relative of patient is shouting. The senior nurse should be efficient enough and should try to take
control over the situation (Jeon, 2021). The senior nurse should communicate the situation to the
junior nurses. It is important that they should be told about what they can do in such situation.
The junior nurses should listen properly and understand the situation. It is assumed that the
junior nurse should also try to control the situation in make the person leave anger and
aggression. The nurses should take care of the patient and they should tell the junior nurses to do
the same. It is important that the junior nurses are always ready to learn and follow the
instructions that are given by the seniors. Both the nurses should have clear communication skills
that will help to make the patients feel comfortable and reduces the chances of conflicts. The
junior nurses should also be ready to learn and listen to new things so that they are able to work
effectively. The junior nurses should respect the senior nurses and learn from them.

It is important that a person should make efforts to reduce aggression. As there is negative
impact of aggression of the person as well as the surroundings. In the above case the son came in
agitate state and started shouting which is wrong (Kaur, 2020). The person should have patience

duty of nurse to take care of the situation. A proper communication may have helped to sort the

Between the nurses and the other residents and their relatives
The nurse is the common person that the agitated son knows and the other residents and
relatives know. It is seen that the nurses should communicate effectively with all the patients and
provide them care that they want. It is seen that the nurses should have good conflict solving
skills (Farashahi and Tajeddin, 2018). It will help the other residents to understand the situation
and misunderstand the nurse. As they will take care of the situation that the other patients face.
The other residents and the relatives should have taken action and told them about that they are
being treated in a good way. It is seen that the nurse should tell about the situation to the
residents. It is assumed that these residents and relatives will have collaborative attitude and will
understand the importance of working together. As the nurses have shown care to the people and
they know that. It will not cause any problem or situation that is problematic.

reporting. There is requirement of a person that is able to note all the important things. Along
with that there is requirement of knowledge of digital software and I have understanding of data
collection software. It is also seen that I am an understanding person that always tries to
recognise the problem that is faced by others. So that will help me to empathise the problem that
is faced by my patient. It will help me to solve the issue in more effective way. It is important to
note that a person also has weakness. Ai have examined all the weakness and tried to find out the

internship as that will add to my skills and knowledge. I want to take experience before doing the
job. If I will work on by strengths and weakness then it will help me to become a person that is
competent for the job.

personal as well as professional life of an individual. It is seen that a person should have good
