Introduction:
The computer technologies has been developed in recent decades very much and has
helped the humans in their daily works in various of ways. Though this computer technologies
has been developed very much further and has helped the humans, it has also raised various of
professional issues that are related with ethical, social and legal consequences. For an IT
professionals this issues are very much important as these are related directly with their
professions. Thus the IT professionals must consider this issue and take into account this issues.
In this essay the current issues which are related with ethical, social and legal perspective will be
identified and will be discussed.
Social, Ethical and Legal Issues:
Considering the present situation that are related with the computer technology and the
systems there are several of issues which are related with ethical, social and legal considerations.
All of the issues are important for an IT professionals and they must acknowledge these issues as
all of these are directly related with the profession of them. Firstly, considering the social issues,
there are several of social issues which might an IT professional will face in their career. When
each of the IT professionals starts their journey in the sector of information technology it is very
much natural that they will face the social issues and in such of the cases they need to deal with it
professionally. In this case one of the biggest issue is becoming green in the sector of
information technology (DePasquale et al. 2017). The resources of the earth are depleting in a
continuous way and the demand of these resources are increasing sharply. Here each of the IT
professionals need to understand the overall consumption of the power and it must be
acknowledged by them that each of the IT related products are not covered under the green IT
spectrum (Long 2018). Thus this must be taken account by the IT professionals and they need to
be focused on the green IT spectrum. This type of green economy can be achieved by recycling

the dangerous electronic waste, implementing a long term green policy, optimizing severs for
distribution of the workloads and by reducing the carbon footprint of the workplace. These are
some important examples for implementing the green IT world which is very much crucial for
the social aspects. Generation in the workplace is another issue which must be acknowledged by
the IT professionals. As there is a generation gap between the employees there is a social issue
about that how these IT professionals with a generation gap will be connected, collaborate and
will be concerned among themselves. Due to this gap in the generation, IT professionals will
face challenges including collaboration and communication. Thus working effectively with a
generation gap is important for the IT professionals. In the workplace the IT professionals also
need to promote equality and also they need to influence the workers for becoming the part of IT
revolution and to become influential leaders (Andrade and Doolin 2016). With that
determination of better solution for assisting peoples with any type of disabilities is an important
issue in this case. IT professionals are always looking for becoming a global workforce with each
of the day and for that they are highly dependent on communication skills. There are currently
various of software and mediums for the translation which is constantly changing the working
way of the IT professionals.
With the social issues ethical issues are also important which must be understood and
considered by the IT professionals. One of the important ethical issue and an important concern
in this case is the security related issue. The security has become an important concern in this
case due to the reason that cybercrimes has become a huge threats for most of the organization
today. These issues of the cybercrimes are increasing regularly and due to this fact cybercrime
has become a huge threats for the current organizations (Mason 2017). As the rate of cybercrime
is increasing constantly the IT professionals must be focused on preventing the security breaches.
