INTRODUCTION
In order to live a healthy life it is necessary that proper food is taken so that the level of
nutrition in our body is maintained. Every food that is provided in the market offer some or the
other nutrition (Richards, Campenni and Muse-Burke, 2010). It is necessary that those product
which are claiming a particular level of nutrition in them should offer the same to the customers.
In the given study it will be discovered that what is the level of quality of UK products which
offers these claims in comparison to those which do not guarantee or claim any nutrition
(CINAHL Databases, 2017). Different methodology will be utilised in order to collect the
relevant data and than interpretation of same will be done using different tools. The data
collected will be than communicated supported with recommendation on the subject matter
which will further assist user in understanding the topic in more detail. This report is based on

Background of project
It is observed that different food products obtain nutrition claims against them this bring
satisfaction to the customer who is purchasing the same. It is due to the reason that when a
company claims that their products has particular ingredients than there are very rare chances
that the claim is not true (Concepts of Mental and Social Well-bein. 2010). This is due to the
reason that in that case case can be done against tat particular organisation. This research report
will revolve around the topic how does the food products hat claim to be nutritious are actually
serving the motive or the assertion are fake. Those product which do not offer claim against them
are considered to be less effective as they contain less amount of energy and their healthiness
level is also low. With the increase in food culture issues related to health related problems has
raised to a great level (Beddoe, 2010). Therefore, it is necessary that awareness is created among
the society regarding nutritious food which will be possible if its benefits over non nutritious
food will be highlighted.
Introduction
For the following study the article which is chosen to study is that 'How many food items
in the UK carry health and nutrition claims, and are they healthier than those that do not? In
order to collect the relevant information to the subject matter use of both qualitative and
quantitative data is done using primary and secondary methods of research so that all the

required data can be presented. Through the research report it can be identified that what food
products are better weather those which claim to be nutritious or those with do not claim. It is an
important topic for conducting the study as health is the prime matter of concern in the chosen
scenario.

of same with those who do not.

respondents and than analysis of same was done to reach at results.
Secondary data – this is another method in which data is collected from the already
available options. It remove the barrier of time as less time is required to another the required
information (Wise, Hersh and Gibson, 2012). Books, journals etc. are the various sources
through which information can be gathered.

Recommendation
This is suggested that more and more emphasis should be given for making the food
products available which offers high nutrition value as they are demanded more by the
customers. It is necessary that a minimum level of nutrients should be made present in every
food item so that the level of well being can be raised (Tew and et. al., 2012). It is necessary that
some amount of health related ingredients are included while manufacturing the food items as
this way the overall standard of health also raises which further gives a positive image of the
company itself. As it is difficult to identify the difference between health related ingredients
claims and other claims it should be ensured that information is clearly provided so that when a
customer is buying a particular commodity he should be clear with what all benefits he will
receive after in taking that particular food product.

CONCLUSION
After going through the different analysis it is observed that food products which are are
provided with nutritions are ore demanded in the market and hence they should be made more
easily available so that customer do not find it difficult to find the same. They are more healthy
for the well being of an individual in comparison to those which do claim to be nutritions. It is
also observed that in stores the maximum ratio of products is of those which are supported with
claim against them. This shows that market of UK is health conscious. Customers also prefer the
food items which are provided with good nutrients and they demand less to the variety which do
not claim the same value.
Overview
After going through the given text, importance of having food with nutrition is analysed
as they are more healthier than the other which do not have claims for the same. Immense data
was available on net which makes it difficult to gather the most effective information. If more
time was given to present the report than there are chances that much quality data would have
been collected. Also the topic was related to the social cause which makes it more important to
collect information from more and more respondents. Due to the availability of less time it was
difficult to cover more share of market.
