Question 1:
The term professional is a member of a profession that earns their living from a specific
or a particular professional activity. The term describes training, education and standards that
prepares the members with a particular knowledge and skills that are necessary to perform
certain tasks. This also leads to mention that the professionals have to abide by the strict codes of
conduct and this includes the moral and the ethical obligations. The professional practice and the
standards are specifically required in the workplace and this includes the professional
associations. In certain cultures, it is important to note that people that belong to particular social
strata are well educated and thus the workers enjoy autonomy in work. Such workers are often
engaged in intellectually challenging and creative work (Trede, Macklin and Bridges 2012).
Question 2:
The professional reflective journal is an evidence-based writing that involves the
reflective thinking and includes a description of the issues. The writing is based on the
explanation of the events and the critical analysis of the events. The writing includes a
professional writing and is beneficial for the person itself as well as the people that are learning
from the experiences. The writing is used to reflect forward in the future and is also a reflection
of the past. The two best examples that can serve best for the personal reflective journal is a
personal development plan for the purpose of self-development and a reflective journal written
by the nurses for the purpose of education for the other nurses. These reflective accounts serve as
a teaching materials for the students from the various fields and also can be viewed as
educational materials (Cowan 2014).
