2PROFESSIONAL PRACTICEIntroduction:A company is a separate legal entity that is used for certain business orcommercial purpose. The administrative works of the company is being organised by thestakeholders and intended to achieve certain common goals. A company is enjoying perpetualsuccession. A company can be divided in two ways from the aspect of regulatory purposessuch as the private company and the public company (Kelsey, 2015). In this present case, ithas been observed that certain policies should be set out for the development of the softwarecompany. The main objective of the company policy should for promoting the standard of thecompany and the stakeholders of the company. There are certain Acts enacted for theestablishment of the company and for the improvement of the health and safety of theemployers and the staffs. In this report, an attempt has been made to generalise the code ofconduct and code of ethics for the company and the staffs (Dobbs et al., 2016). An attempthas been made to secure the copyright policy of the company, the moral and cultural issuesare related to the incorporation of the company, and therefore it is required to work on thesame so that the process can be facilitated. Every company should have certain socialresponsibility that need to be developed and promised to secure the policies over humanrights (Kelsey, 2015).Discussion:Policy on health and safety:A company should be liable for the health and safety of the employees and theemployers. In New Zealand, the matter relating to the health and safety is governed byHealth and Safety at Work Place Act 2015. The main objective of the case is to secure ahigh level of safety criteria to the employees so that they will stay safe from any risks (De
3PROFESSIONAL PRACTICESilva, Stratford & Clark, 2014). It has been mentioned under the Act that the workers have toperform certain duties to ensure the protection. It has been mentioned that the companyshould implement certain policies for the betterment of the interest of the workers and theemployees. A company should take policies like Employee Assistance program. In thecompanies in New Zealand, the employers have adopted certain employee assistanceprograms. The main objective of such program is to train the employees to tackle all the risksgenerated due to the working hours. The training can be taken place in general or for certainspecific reason (Belich, 2013). This policy helps to assess the conduct of the employees andthe outcome of the same in the workplaces and it points out the consequence of the works.Part two of the Act deals with certain duties that should be performed by themanagers and the employees so that the risk regarding the health and safety can be reduced. Ithas been mentioned that the duties could not be transferred to any other person and it is theduty of every person to abide by the rules of the Act. Policies include maintenance ofworking environment, maintenance of working structure and the company should adopt asafety system (Renton, Daellenbach & Davenport, 2016). The employers and the employeesshould take reasonable care while performing their duties. They should not get involved inany hazardous activities and must restrain themselves to do any job so that the health of theothers can be getting affected.Code of ethics of the company:The term ethics includes certain policies by which the doctrine of honesty andintegrity can be established. Code of Ethics in case of a company required that the employeeswill follow certain guidelines to maintain business-based honesty and should not get involvedin an immoral acts. Every company should have to maintain particular code of ethics for theestablishment of the proper working environment (Fernandez-Feijoo, Romero & Ruiz, 2014).The mission and values of the company can be understood by Code of ethics.
