 Professional skill development is defined as to such abilities and capabilities, which are
basically used at a workplace and helps to gain a better competitive advantage as well.
 Although, the academic skills are used to know about the strategies and abilities which
are necessary for the learners to gain a positive success in their learning.

Challenges of studying business management and
thriving in professional practice
 There are the explanation with the examples which shows the challenges which are
faced while studying the business management.
 Learning to work in a team- while studying the business management,
every time person works individually.
 Scheduling- people who are doing the particular tasks, needs to make a schedule for
their projects which will further help them to complete it quicker.
 Adjusting new surrounding- there are many people who select the course as per their
interest and abilities.
 Connecting with new people- many individuals is facing this challenge as they need to
connect with the people over that place.

 There are some other challenges which are related to the professional practice as well.
 Professionals are facing more challenges these days, because of changing certain
demands of their clients. This challenge is the major in the professional practice. The
challenge makes the professionals to provide better services which will full fill the
sudden demands of their client.
 There are different kinds of the people in the professional practice where it gets a high
chance to get repeated by their clients. It means that their work influence their clients to
work with them again and again which increases their productivity as well.

Explain the importance of effective academic
and professional skills' development
 The effective academic skills are very important to the people who are in a professional
stream or not but very essential for everyone.
 It includes to stay focussed to their work as well as being motivated by their
management as well.
 It provides the new thinking ability which helps the people to have a proper knowledge
about their profession and also know about the way for proper growth in their career.

Demonstrate effective team working skills
 The skill which is used in an effective working team skill is Collaborative skill.
 Collaboration simply refers to bringing the people from another department or teams together
which help in completing the common goal in effective time.
 There are five collaborative skills which are following:
 Open mindedness- it is a most important aspect which helps to be a collaborative with the
skills of accepting the innovative ideas.
 Communication- thoughtful as well as clear communication are the another aspect which helps
in having a successful collaboration.

 Long term thinking- it is also a main component of the collaborative skills which
helps to think long term as well as to end the result with the collaborative work as well.
 Adaptability- it is an aspect which helps to adapt the new changes which makes in a
collaborative skills and which are very helpful for the effective team.
 Debate- this is also a kind of collaborative skills which are essential to make an
effective team in which it helps the collaborator to collaborate their effective ideas with
the other colleagues which helps them to be more effective about their tasks.

 It helps to solve any kind of problems which are occurred at the time of any
assignments.
 I used this skill which help me to make a lot of progress in the projects.
 For a better communication I have used my collaborative skills which helps me to
make more effective communication.

 From the above discussion, it has been concluded that there are the challenges which is
faced by many individual while studying the business management and creates a
obstacle for them.
 By making themselves stronger, learners can face these challenges and helps them to
get a better business management knowledge.
 Whereas, there are some more challenges which are faced during the professional
practice also, where the clients played a crucial role to make a challenge for the
professionals as well.
