Topic:To analyse about the Academic plagiarism and why it is related to the professionalism in business culture or environment. INTRODUCTION The professional skills are based on the career competencies that often as part of course required to improve the knowledge. It is considered the different types of skills such as leadership, project management, conflict resolution and other value-added skill that require for career enhancement. In this essay, it will discuss about the Academic plagiarism and why it is important for academic writing. It will describe the different types of plagiarism and plays important role. Furthermore, it will analyse that what academic integrity become relevant to the professionalism in the business environment. Moreover, it will highlight the different ways to avoid plagiarism that could improve academic writing. MAIN BODY Plagiarism isa type of deliberate attemptthattry to deceivethe reader through representation and appropriation of own works but using someone else words (Velliaris, Willis and Pierce, 2015). Academic plagiarism can occur when writer can use repeatable words in their own writing and it also used words many times without putting quotation marks or any references. It is very important to avoid the plagiarism in academic writing while many people passing another writing as their own. It is taking someone else concepts, words, theory and pretending that they are owned. Plagiarism is directly relevant to the academic writing because it shows the expected research and refers to the authorise source (Cole, Shelley and Swartz, 2018). Afterwards, it can be determined that it can produce original work. In this way, it is important for scholar that involves building on existing research, understanding and researching.Plagiarism can be divided into different types: Direct, self, Mosaic and Accidental plagiarism. These are mainly representing the serious violation of academic writing. Direct plagiarism is based on the word -to-word transcript for identifying someone else work without any quotation marks. Self- plagiarism occurs when scholar submit previous work without permission of other authorised professors’ and their involvement. Apart from that internet plays important role in context of plagiarism to reduce the efforts that require to make available resources. It has completely changed and easier to detect the plagiarism in academic writing. Internet help to create new 3
writing types by using new standards while it made possible for scholar to represent in attractive ways. The academic integrity is responsible for acting with the values of trust, respect, responsibility and fairness etc. It is important for individuals to maintain their skills and knowledge that can implement in the business environment and culture (Velliaris and Breen, 2016). Academic integrity related to the professionalism in the business environment and consider as necessary part for protecting or securing information of own’s business. Afterwards, it also increased the legal issues without lack of Academic integrity. For Example- Gucci is used the five different types of trademarks symbol that already used by Guess in their business. it should include similar type of logos and symbols (Knight, 2018). It become unsurprising when Guess has been registered the complaints of copy rights against last ten years. In this way, it is a real time example in the business sectors so as it can be determined that academic writing being relevant to the professionals. Main Cause to the lack of integrity in business for increasing the confliction between companies. it has increased the legal issues between them. Sometimes, the one business should give large amount of money to another firm by stealing their own copy right patents. This is the best example of Guess and Gucci firms related the copyright. In context of Academic writing, it is very easy to find out information about the particular paper but it is not always easy without trapping plagiarism. There are few simple ways to avoid plagiarism in academic writing. It involves paraphrase, cite, Quoting, referencing and many more. While paraphrase is one of common method to change the word, sentences by using similar type of synonyms. It makes sure that data should not found together. Citing is another technique to avoid plagiarism by follows the formatting of documents and usually added the name of author, date and publication years (McHenry, Kahr and Hollingsworth, 2019). If no cites properly, it will chance to occur plagiarism. Referencing is another method that may include page number of references that can put at the end of paper. Again, it should essential to meet all formatting criteria of documents as per level of institution. It is the most specific that includes authors, title, source and publications. can be representing the information in well manner. In context of business, it should provide awareness between employee so as they can understand the actual role in data management. It provides training to identify that which is the best for companies and also conducting the development activities to improve their skills. In this way, employee should do complete their task in team to share own experience. It concluded that Academic integrity will be setting the specific parameters that can maintain unique identity of business in global markets. CONCLUSION In above discussion, it can be determined that plagiarism plays important role in academic writing. It useful for identifying the lack of academic integrity for the business. It has been summarised that overall impact of plagiarism in the academic which can improve the business culture or environment. It has been applied different methods to reduce the problem and plagiarism for improving quality of writing. As per brief conclusion, it can understand about the specific role in the plagiarism which are directly related to the business skills for improving their own knowledge. Academic writing is helping to gain more knowledge about the professional development. 5
