INTRODUCTION
Professional skills for business and finance indicates towards the skills and ability to
manage the financial resources in a business by self-generated skills, acknowledgment and
experience (Van der Merwe, 2013). The main theme of this essay is to comprehend the
professional skills for business and finance considering the academic offence and integrity so
than professionalism in business environment could be maintained.
According to Collins Dictionary plagiarism is recognized as the activity of using
someone else’s research paper, work and study without the acknowledgement of them and
claiming to be your own. It can be described as an act of intentionally trying to mislead the
academic teacher by sending material that is not performed by own (Cenere and et. al., 2015).
Copyright infringement has become worse in recent times, largely due to the popularity of online
trade of assignments. It has spiked across several UK-based educational institutions that 50,000
candidates were found plagiarizing during the last 3 years only. The above statistic may not
enable to illustrate the extent of the problem for all those undergraduates who plagiarized or
were not caught. Plagiarism is one of the serious and critical concern in terms of future academic
research studies. If a student is caught plagiarizing than it can have severe implications for future
career as an academic. In addition to the supervisory point of view, plagiarism also affects the
degree for which as a learner can discover during years of intense research. Eventually,
if someone manipulate through plagiarism on the cost of career than it can ruined the opportunity
to explore and experience subject to a particular topic. Some of common type of plagiarism are
direct plagiarism, self-plagiarism, Mosaic plagiarism and accidental plagiarism. In direct
plagiarism the sections are found word to word transcription with someone else’s work. In self-
plagiarism similar kind of work is submitted twice by student subject to same course of work
without having permission of another professor. When quotations marks and phrases are not used
while copying form the author’s text than it is considered as Mosaic plagiarism.
Ethics has been an enormous issue in modern business situation. A business owner is not really
measured by both the work he /she does, but also through his / her competence as well as
integrity. Ethics is an important element of student educational experience and it is anticipated
that all learners will conduct with academic integrity (Dahmen and Rodríguez, 2014). It is
assumed that perhaps the real work of the learner whose identity found on the documents are the
sources provided for such program. Academic integrity violations involve: fraud, copyright
