INTRODUCTION:
These skills are used by the people which shows there behavior for effective interaction
with the others. The ability and capability of communication of the people to maintain and
mange their relationships with the others. In this file three case studies which shows the
interpersonal skills of the people which is related to their health. This file explained various
practices used for the health care which is very essential for the interpersonal skills of the people.
Analyze and interpretation of different uses if the interpersonal skills of these three case studies
which is described in this file. There are different barriers of communications which is used to
analyze them. There are various process of teamwork which is explained and evaluate them in
this file about the interpersonal skills of the three case studies.
CASE STUDY 1 : “The right to know”
1. Importance of interpersonal skills in the health care practices:
Interpersonal skills is very essential in the health care practices which includes the
effective communication skills, relationships, team work, problem solving. The behavior of the
nurses should be friendly, positive, responsible towards their patient so it is important in the
interpersonal skills.
There are different types of the interpersonal skills which is used by the nurses in the
health care practices of the Mr Adams in this case study. The relationship of the nurses is very
important in the taking care of the patient for the effective treatment and health progress. In this
case study the relationships of the nurse with the Mr Adams is not good because he was avoided
by the staff of the hospital due to his health issue. The truth of his diseases has not been told to
the Mr Adams because the nurses thought he would lose hope angive up. the staff of the hospital
feels uncomfortable to tell the whole truth to the patient and this will leads to the mental stressed
of the Mr Adams. For the effective relations with the patient their have to be effective
communication skills should be used by the nurses for the proper care of the patient and for fast
recovery (Anderson and Perlman, 2019). Actively listening of the patient question and answer
them properly is the part of the effective interpersonal skills of the nurses in the hospital. The
nurse should exercise the self awareness of the Mr Adams to know that what they are feeling for
their diseases and motivate them.
