Progress report of oral presentation
Oral presentation is extremely important and requires skills to evaluate it. Prior
providing presentation a lot of factors should be considered to enhance its effectiveness. As
an initial stage of any oral presentation it is important to make a proper planning to convert
the paper to a presentation format and in this purpose, an introduction should be included at
the beginning. Addressing the audiences, I will provide information about the clients’ needs
and resources and then I will let them know how their needs will be fulfilled through this
presentation. I will focus to include specific concerning researches in order to address the
requirements of the audiences. In order to record my voice, I will use digital audio and video
recorder. However, I want to clear my confusion regarding Kaltura and its usage as I have
never used it before. Again, I should share that I have learned many tips and tricks to make a
presentation more powerful and I learned that it is always important to keep a smile on face
and a constant eye contact with the audiences (van Ginkel, Gulikers, Biemans & Mulder,
2017). Also, keeping the presentation simple attracts the audiences more and keeps them
engaged (Bandler & Kiley, 2017). Though, I am little nervous but I am trying to overcome
that and practicing a lot to increase my confidence level. My main strength while giving
presentation is I have done a thorough research and I am enriched with lots of information to
convey to the audiences but the main weakness is I cannot maintain constant eye contact to
the audiences. Hence, I will maximize my strength more by enhancing my knowledge on the
topic to make the presentation more effective.
