INTRODUCTION
Business environment is inclusive of different types of organisation who are offering
different services with distinguished size, scope, mission, aim and objectives to customers
around the world (Baltov and Mladenova, 2020). Main aim of these organisations is to serve
customers with their high quality services. Present report includes formative discussion upon
different type of organisations. Along with this detailed explanation of relationship among
functional unit of Tesco is also discussed in this report.
MAIN BODY
An overview of different types of organisations and the growth of the international business
environment
Private sector:
Organisations private sector are mainly owned, run and managed by private group of
individuals. Main aim of this organisation is to earn large base of profitability while serving
customers (Huridi, Jamaludin and Hashim, 2020). In this there is a requirement of minimum 2
and maximum 200 members. Organisations within this sector have effective contribution in
country economy
For example: Tesco is a leading organisation conducting its business services in retail
industrial sector. Organisation was founded in the year 1999 and offers a wide range of services
and products to customers online and offline methods.
Public sector:
Public sector organisation is owned by government authorities and has seven minimum
members with no limit of maximum individuals as to become public sector organisation it is
essential for a company to offer IPO among public (Kahiya, 2020). It is essential for companies
that in this business sector to broadcast their annual report to stakeholders.
For example: National Health Service is offering their business facilities in the provinces
of United Kingdom. It is a leading public sector organisation which is providing high quality
Healthcare services to communities and individuals.
Voluntary organisation:
Organisation within this business sector mainly is a constitution of individual on the basis
of voluntary membership. In this services are being provided to individual on humanitarian basis

without any expectation of profitability. Major source of fund in this organisation is from charity
by large organisation. In this services are being provided to integrate nation and society
harmony.
For example: Oxford is charitable organisation and is basically a configuration of 20
different charitable entities. This voluntary organisation is providing the humanitarian services in
drought prone and other affected areas.
A profile of each of the chosen organisations
Private sector:
TESCO
Size: TESCO is conducting their business services with more than 6,800 shops and
owned 800 shops in seven countries across Europe and Asia market place.
Scope: TESCO is a leading organisation in retail industrial sector and offer services
worldwide while offering employment opportunities to individuals all around the globe.
Vision: TESCO vision statement is “to offer become most highly values business and
service customers, stakeholders, employees and community with best business practices”.
Mission: Company is offering its services with a mission “ to help customers to enjoy
better quality life”.
Legal structure of TESCO: Legal structure of TESCO is a ““Corporate governance” as in this
individuals deal with shareholders are engaged to accomplish organisational objectives.

Public organization
NHS
Size: National Health Service (NHS) is serving its services in four countries of United
Kingdom with 1.7 billion and more than employees. This organisation is of wide size and is fifth
biggest employer all around the globe.
Scope: Due to its fastest growing services in the provinces of UK this organisation provide
large scale job opportunities that enhance its scope at wide scale.
Vision: National Health Service offer facilitates with a vision “to treat community and
individuals with respect and dignity”.
Mission: This organisation conducts its services with having a mission statement” to provide
care and services to individuals with strong work ethics”.
Legal Structure of NHS:
NHS legal structure is significantly governed by the present version of the National Health
Service Act 2006 (“the NHS Act”).

Voluntary Organisation
Oxfam
Size: This non profit organisation conducts its services in approximately five nations with
3,500 and more partner organisations.
Scope: Being a charitable organisation Oxfam is having large scope in offering their
services in other countries around the globe and serves more communities with their
humanitarian services.
Vision: Oxfam is serving individuals with a mission “to eradicate poverty and enhance
individual’s living standards”.
Mission: “To provide every possible support to individuals in affected areas and increase
their standard of living”.

Oxfam legal structure mainly constitutes Council of trustee this non-profit organisation is
governing body of the governing body of the Association of Oxfam (a not-for-profit limited-
liability company).

Critical analysis of how each organisation’s structure, size and scope link to their business
objectives and product and services offered
It has been identified that organisation size, structure and scope are having strong link to
their business objective and products and services that are being offered by them, as if
organisation is having white size and scope then it is essential for them to effectively fulfil their
objectives in a well defined and effective manner as per the expectation of customers around the
world. While if an organisation is performing their business services at small size send their roles
and responsibilities is somehow less as compared to large-scale organisation.

A detailed explanation of the functions in one of the chosen organisations
HR and Finance Department:
Human Resource Department within Tesco engage in the services of recruiting, hiring and
placing talented and rights individuals in right position with an organisational workplace
premises. This functional unit aid finance department by providing them highly talented
experience and skill candidates that increases efficiency of finance department operations
effectiveness (Yonghui and Jianfeng, 2020). While in context with finance department this unit
provide aid to HR department in terms of providing adequate source of funds through which HR
unit conduct their different responsibilities like training, recruiting, selecting an effective
manner. This interrelationship provides Tesco a strong workplace structure that automatically in
hands is business profitability.

R& D and Production Department:
Research department is one of the most important unit within Tesco which is engaged in the
roles and responsibilities related to identifying current trends, customers behaviour and other
factors that a prevailing in business environment along with its impact on business functioning.
R&D department aid production department of Tesco by providing them authenticated services
related to customer taste and current technology, it enhanced production department efficiency.
While on the other hand production department assist R&D unit by accompanying with the
information that has been provided by R&D department and engage in the same production
process. It increases R&D research practices efficiency, with the help of this interrelationship
Tesco assures long-term sustainability and profitability.
CONCLUSION
According to the above mentioned report it has been concluded that, every organisation in
different business sector public, private and voluntary and their own mission, vision, size, scope
and business objective through which they provide services to customers. It has been identified
that it is essential for an organisation to have strong entity relationship among functional unit as
it enhances overall productivity and profitability of company.
