Executive summary
The paper mainly reflects on Apple Vale that is one of the coastal towns in Perth. It is found that
in apple Vale, one medium size resort named Anders reach is present and the place was utilized
for treating patient who faces issues due to alcoholism, drug intake as well as anxiety. The
charity of the organization named Tun Therapies created one proposal with the main of
demolishing the old building for undertaking the work of construction for the treatment centre. It
is found that around 10 months’ time is required with budget of around $900,000 for finishing
the work of the project successfully.

1. Background
The paper mainly reflects on “Apple Vale” that is small coastal town of 300 km that is
situated in north of Perth. It is found that the climate of Apple Vale act as a mirror which makes
it one of the most ideal tourist locations however the resident population of that area is ageing.
Over so many years, issues related with rowdiness as well excessive drinking have not affected
Apple Vale because of the facilities that they offer and it further helps in making Apple Vale to
develop proper unique tourism strategy which proved successful over the fast-few decades. It
mainly has focussed on richer as well as elderly tourists and have generally marketed oneself one
of the tranquil areas. It is found that in order to try as well as reverse with the trend, the local
business generally work with other local business for developing another marketing in that area.
For creating a new tourist market, the local council wants to arrange holidays for wealthier
families.
It is found that Apple Vale’s medium size resort is named as Ander Reach that was
recently put to sale. It is one of the run-down resorts which can previously accommodate 100
guests. Anders Reach has bought by Perth based on the charity that is known as “Tun Therapies”
The organization was established before 10 years in order to treat health issues like alcoholism’s,
addictions as well as drug dependency. The organizational aim is to properly create a relaxing as
well as welcoming space where an individual generally get care as well as nurture. It is found
that TT provides a proposal for demolishing the old buildings and for treating Anders Reach
treatment complex. It is found that the charity properly understands about different types of
specifications that are associated with ARTC which must properly meet the code for different

At this particular stage, the main plan that is mainly undertaken is to effectively clear the
site and then TT will properly construct the modern ARTC treatment centre. The ARTC has

patients who generally stay as well as the patients who visits for a particular day. Furthermore,
the treatment centre generally requires enough space for the patients for properly sleeping,
relaxing as well as receiving visitors. Additionally, ARTC will generally need enough back to

treatment centre.
2. Project scope
Project scope is considered as a significant part of planning which mainly involves proper
identification as well as proper documentation of a number of project goals, features, functions
as well as deliverables of the project. The scope for the development of ARTC centre are mainly

 Undertaking cost benefit analysis for determining ROI and NPV
 Providing services including accommodation facilities for 50 patients
 Development 10 treatment rooms for patients where massage, counselling as well as
therapy will be undertaken
 Development of joint counselling classrooms
 Creation of social area including dining room, library as well as private gardens

drugs which are mainly required for the treatment of patients

cardiovascular machines
 Development of parking areas and undertaking work that are mainly associated with
waste disposal, deliveries, storage as well as gardening.
3. Project assumptions
Project assumption is considered as one of the factors that is used on the planning
procedure of the project and they are the circumstances which are generally expected within the
entire life cycle of the project. The circumstances which are expected by the manager of the
project during the development of ARTC are mainly illustrated below:
 Time: The project manager who is involved with the development of new ARTC project
mainly assumes that the work starting from the clearing of the site to the maintenance of
the building will get completed within 10 months of time (Kerzner, 2017).
 Budget: The project manager undertakes market review and after proper analysis they
assumes that around $900,000 is mainly required for demolishing old building and for
developing ARTC for the treatment of the alcoholic and drug addicted patients
 Scope: It is assumed that the scope will identify the steps of tasks as well as project goals
and functions for undertaking the project work sucessfully and therefore the chances of
scope creep is quite less and therefore the ARTC will be developed as per the time span
that is estimated initially (Kerzner, 2019).
