Reflection
This part of report is the personal reflection on the semester course that I have recently
completed in with help of my assessor. Also, my overall experience was quite good I was able to
learn various new things and also able to develop certain skills and competencies that are
essential for both my personal and professional future growth. Moreover, this experience could
be linked through Kolb learning cycle model that is four stage process in identifying how new
information is acquired and embed in the learning (Deeva and et.al .2021). Furthermore, during
the first week of the learning session we were asked to research on one particular topic and
conduct the Swot and pestle analysis of the particular business sector. Moreover, at this time I
have found that I have faced many difficulties in researching certain details related to the
company and hence my numeracy and researching skills very poor. As result of which I would
not able to search through using relevant keywords and collect accurate data that is required fir
my topic (Green and Stormont, 2018). However, with the help of my assessor I was able to make
lot of improvement in collecting the information from the verified sources while researching
various data.
In the second week of learning assessor had assigned business related topics that need to
be discussed among the groups and better solutions had to be provided at the end of the
discussion to one business problem. Also, here I have learnt that teamwork and coordination
plays very important role and thus only those groups are able to provide better solutions that
have better communication and dedication in the output. Also, I have analysed that my
communication skill was very weak I was not able to speak certain opinions in free manner with
the fear of being wrong and not knowing others (Delgado, Delgado and Quiroz, 2019).
Moreover, I have the fear of speaking among the public because and due to this reason I have
done very less interaction among the team members. Moreover, certain queries related to the
topic also remained unclear in my mind as I was not able to discuss with other people in my
group. Furthermore, I have realized that having the good communication skills is important for
making better relationship with assessor so that full support and guidance might be provided on
timely manner. Moreover, working in team does not mean only listening skills are needed but
also requires that certain advice and ideas are also supported and provided. However, with the
help of my assessor i was able to feel confident at the end of the semester as I have been able to

develop as great learner (Elia and et.al., 2019). Also, group formation in the classroom lectures
by my assessor might be better linked with the Tuck-man theory that defines team development
under five stages such as formation where diverse group by the assessor were developed,
storming where the ideas of the team members of providing solutions to the problems was
conflicting and contradicting. Next was norming where majority member agreeing on one
possible solution was selected by my team to present to my assessor, performing was time when
each team member have shown its part of contribution in delivering the solution on topic and
lastly was adjourning where the project end successfully on the positive note.
Next in the third week of the learning assessor asked to submit individual report on the
given topic of large scale industry and here I have come to know that writing is not easy as it
seems. Moreover, during this week I have faced many difficulties as through VARK model I
have identified that there are four types of learners that is visual, auditory, reading/writing and
kinaesthetic (Douglas and et.al., 2020.). Further, I have come to know by one of my team
members that I fall into the category of auditory learners and hence at the time of writing the
report I missed out several essential details that needed to be included in the report due to which
my structure was not proper. Also, my grammar and spelling errors were present in the report
that were later corrected and rectified by my assessor in very well manner.
In the last week of my semester we have been again divided into small groups of five
members and were asked to present the presentation on different business topics. Hence, it was
this time that I have realized that delegation of work among the teammates is not easier task as
individual strengths and weakness need to be identified closely (Hidayat and Budiatma, 2018).
Moreover, it was quite challenging for us as we do not know each other well. Moreover, group-
think have led us to miss deadline of the project. Furthermore, group-think is situation when one
dominant member of the group rule others and less dominant do not speak because of fear of
being suppressed (Dymock and Tyler, 2018). Thus, it was the major demerit because of which
the presentation was not up to the mark and between people have lost the interest because it
becomes quite boring. Hence, I have realized that before assigning the task it is essential that
strengths are identified and discussed so that proper division of role and responsibilities is done.
However, I have learnt from this learning session in very well manner and will ensure that
similar mistakes are not repeated while working in any other group in the future. Also, I have
confidence that I would be able to develop grab better professional opportunities in the future
