a) Introduction:
My ternary CDR project is completely based on work expertise of mine. I worked as
a Senior Electrical Engineer on a project with Ferrovial Agroman (Upgrading Abi
Bakr Assiddiq Road Project) the project was a roadway project based in the city
Riyadh. I undertook numerous activities associated with the project and thus
finished those with complete dedication for the company. The project activities
initiated in July 2015 and the complete is yet to complete and is running.

b) Background:
CE3.2 The roadway project’s primary objective is to finish the entire electrical
construction works at Construction Site-Electrical LV and to maintain the higher
quality of the project construction.
CE3.3 The proposed project is based on the electric design of the roadway project.
The project tasks involve all the drawings of the electric circuits, designing and
further development of the electric components. I advised all my subordinates the
principles of the drawing, design and development and further assist them in
executing the project successfully.
To effectively set up the proposed project, I did the following:
1) Assessment of electric design of the buildings as per planning.
2) Design, develop and administer the construction of key electric segments
3) Supervise and manage each and every operation and upkeep of electrical
segments and machines.
4) Examine the proper use of electric power along with proper electric distribution.
5) Writing every specialized detail in a report.
CE3.4 I administered UPS system, HV, Capacitor panels, LV system Installation,
MDBs & SMDBs, HV panel, Diesel Generator Sets, testing and commissioning of LV
Panels, Auto Capacitor boards as per consultant prerequisites and local authority
made policies.

CE3.5 I was in charge for reporting all my working details to my superiors, I also
took the necessary suggestions from them whenever I got stuck. They monitored all
my work activities. I was in charge of the on-site work.
CE3.6 My project activities statements comprised of:
a) External Lighting of the project includes street lighting, car park, pedestrian and
street lighting along with flood lighting.
b) The testing and analysis of Power Transformers ranging up to 30 MVA: OTI WTI
gauge calibration, short circuit impedance test, winding resistance, turn’s ratio,
vector group, no load magnetizing current, oil breakdown voltage, IR values.
c) The proper management of man force, tools and materials according to the
project prerequisites.
d) The proper follow up of the electric goods’ quality process for reviewing and
research of installations all throughout the project timeline.
e) All the electrical equipment and the relevant components that need to be
submitted should be prepared for the approval of the clients.
f) Help in monitoring the construction diagrams to guarantee that they are to be
designed as per proposed plan.

CE3.7 I initiated my work gathering all contract terms, reports and papers from the
superiors. After that, I prepare RFI(Request for Inspection) and MIR(Material
inspection Request) based on the requirements.
I prepared running bills, substantiation, invoices, purchase order, variations, and
quotations of the proposed project. I am responsible for preparing a bill for a
number of materials for entire electrical work and furthermore to order the
material. I speak to the providers of the electrical goods and ensure that electrical
goods quality is ideal.
I attend the meetings with my superiors, project managers, engineering department,
and clients and suspect potential problem regions and resolve them. I facilitate
intimately with all engineers of different trades with regards to the necessities and
prerequisites of the project and guarantee project site administer and finishing
according to the budget planned.
I am mindful and met all requirements to behave as Material Engineer at the site
and in this way, I witness all material samples needed for the project. I manage the
planning of every single document for all the associated activities preceding testing.
I help with looking into all the relevant activities and ITP.
I monitored all the project activities, all the related construction works to ensure all
the drawings, designs and developments are as per proposed plan. I attended the
meeting s with the authorities stayed in the local areas and discuss with them the
further proceedings of the project. I also showed them the documents submitted by
the project Contractors and arrange for them the project on-site visits to make sure
their fulfillments are successfully fulfilled.
I was given the authority to monitor and test all the activities associated with the
electric layout project activities. I take a close look on the results to ensure the
accuracy of the project and also to make sure the project plans are executed
according to the project prerequisites. I also analysed the threats and risks and the
safety measures to mitigate the risks associated with all the electric activities.
I assured that all the activities like electrical drawings and designs associated with
the project are actualized as per the company policies. I attended several meetings
and the training programs and I learnt more about the project activities associated
with the project. The project activities list involved the Business investigation,
webinars and AutoCAD; all these have been sorted out by IEEE. I learnt many things
while taking on this project and I experienced a lot. I learnt about the security
aspects involved in the project. I too learnt about the future prospects of the project.
I regularly made contact with my superiors, searched the Internets to know much
more about the electrical equipment, research about the electrical design diagrams
and lastly applied those in my project. After every week, I prepared the presentation
slides to show my seniors the work progress of the project.

CE3.8 I utilised all my expertise for the below tasks:
 I use my engineering technical skills to carry out all the calculations
associated with the project.
 I prepared the project report accumulating all the tasks performed, the
calculations I have done, the electric layout diagrams and the electric
equipment associated with the project.
 I evaluated the agreement papers and the policies associated with the entire
project.
 I examined thoroughly all the mechanical, electrical and the civil works
associated with it.
 I monitored all throughout and confirmed every Contractor’s order request
relevant to the project.
CE3.9 I undertook all the responsibilities to make the necessary calculations; I
manage all the electrical equipment necessary for the project. At the end I prepared
the project report to support all the project activities. I took help and also listened to
the advices given by my seniors and assisted my juniors to perform all the activities
effectively. I also searched for initiatives for further improvement of all the project
activities in coming future.
CE3.10 I was involved in this project from the beginning, I designed, developed and
prepared the budget plan for this project and I researched about all the possible
changes that might occur in future. I utilize my electrical engineering ability to pick
the new instalment technique related to computation of the risks. I listed all related
threats and risk, then after the installation, I provided best possible solutions to
solve the issues.
CE3.11 After analyzing all the risks, it was my responsibility to make calculations
and perform activities related to the electric circuit as per requirements. After that, I
assembled all the technical records and prepared documentation elaborating all the
technical aspects and potential answers.
CE3.12 I communicated daily with my team and maintain a proper coordination. I
discussed all the project matters with my superiors, asked for suggestions. I also
gave suitable advice to my juniors or subordinates. All these made a positive
workplace all around.
d) Summary
CE3.13 I gained expertise while taking on this project. I can see a lot of
opportunities in my life taking on this project. This project corresponds my
engineering degree and it will help me to prosper my skills and experience and
learning outcomes in mere future. The project was in total a new experience for me.
I faced challenges initially to keep pace with the project but with my expertise and
engineering capabilities I manage to execute the project successfully. I learnt to

work as a team and also this project teaches me to become a good leader. All these
will help me in future projects. It was a great opportunity to learn many things
related to electric design and development working on this fast-paced project.
