The subcontractor of this project was Al Husam General ContractingLLC and it was located in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This project started fromFebruary of 2015 and ended in February of 2016. Al Husam General Contracting LLC is thesubcontractor of this project and has a unique position to provide its customers withoutstanding products and services. It is the effect of continuous innovation and improvementwith high level of quality. The quality of life is improved by giving extremely higher valuesolutions to protect the flow of energy and water. The organizational vision is simply to leadthe construction business and to be the leader in the proper construction of severalinfrastructures. It is also leading in oil and gas industry and manufacturing pipelines thatinclude tank construction engineering works. This project was extremely important for myprofessional career and I was happy that I was able to execute the project properly and fulfillmy responsibilities and duties perfectly.
CE 3.3 Project BackgroundCE 3.3.1 Characteristics of the projectThis project of Riyadh Refinery Clean Transportation of Fuels started in the month ofFebruary in 2015 and ended in the month of February in 2016. Construction and Procurementof steel structure, underground and above ground, piping works for the Riyadh refinery cleantransportation project. The specification requirements for the underground piping works forfiber glass pipe intended for use in gravity flow systems for conveying sewage, storm waterand some chemical and industrial wastes. All pipes, joints, fittings, couplings and spoolsunder the standards of ASTM D 3262. Pipe and coupling shall be filament wound usingpolyster, vinylester or epoxy resin and fiber glass reinforcement.CE 3.3.2 Objectives developed for the projectThis project of Riyadh Refinery Clean Transportation of Fuels had some of the majorobjectives. The objectives are given below:To transport clean refinery fuels.To maintain fuel quality.To inspect whether the project environment is safe or not.CE 3.3.3 My area of workThis project helped me to expose an unbelievable journey of professionalism. Ireceived well appreciation from my team members and seniors and was associated from thestarting of the project until completion, testing and even commission of the same. My area ofwork was to inspect the quality control of all the products and services. I ensured that qualityof services and products are up to the mark, so that the client is happy with our products.
CE 3.3.4 Project GroupFigure 1: Team Members Associated with the projectCE 3.3.5 My responsibilities throughout the projectI had various responsibilities in this project. My main responsibilities includedchecking and directing the plan and program of QA/QC and thus guaranteeing the fusedmaterials on the development ventures. Moreover, I even guaranteed that the work wascompleted as needed in the agreement and met or surpassed the needed characteristics. I alsoguaranteed the sufficient materials nature, workmanship and procedures in the undertakingwork. My next responsibility was to help the Quality Control Engineer and QualityAssurance, for example, the checking of steel fortification similar in the developmentdrawing and to issue the materials for the acceptance of report for the materials. I even keptup measures of security, and agreed to the Company’s Environment management system,General Operations ManagerSite ManagerQC Managersafety ManagerConstruction ManagerConstruction Quality Assurance OfficerQC Inspector (ME)
