INTRODUCTION
Leadership refers to an ability which needs to be displayed by a leader to be able to lead
and manage the different teams and groups within an organization in an effective manner. It is
required in order to be able to lead a company towards the achievement of success in the future
time period. In this report, the focus will be made on the leadership style which is displayed by
Mark Zuckerberg. He is the founder and CEO of Facebook. It is a social networking website. In
this report, analysis will be made on the different aspects of leadership which are displayed by
Mark Zuckerberg. This will be quite helpful in determining the skills and qualities which are
displayed by him in different situations incurring in the enterprise.

While studying in University I was given an assignment by my teachers to complete a
project on Leadership of a successful business leader. As a student it was quite a challenging task
for me to complete because I had not worked on this project before. Therefore I had a substantial
experience while completing this project. I can narrate this experience by making the use of
Gibbs' reflective cycle-
Gibbs' reflective cycle is a reflection cycle which was developed by Graham Gibbs in the
year 1988. The model has various stages which are explained as follows-
Description- It means the description of situation in detail (Alvesson and Einola, 2019)
. As I study in the university I am given different assignments and projects to work upon. I was
given a project on leadership in which I had to select a particular business leader and make sure
that I analyse the leadership skills and qualities of the business leader in an efficient manner.
This was a great learning experience for me in particular.
Feelings- It refers to the feelings one had during the experience. It helps in the
identification of experience one has in a particular situation. While preparing this particular

project on leadership I had positive feelings because by facing the problems in this project I was
able to use techniques to solve them and thus I was able to identify the right way to approach the
project.
Evaluation- It means identifying what worked and what did not work in a particular
situation. While dealing with the project of leadership, I had to use my presentation skills in an
effective manner. This worked for me. However I thought that by making use of theoretical
approach I will be able to complete this project. However this did not work. Thus I had to rely on
making the use of practical approach.
Analysis- It refers to making sense of what has happened (Banks and et.al., 2016). While
working on the project of leadership I had to perform research on a business leader and do a
detailed analysis on the leadership style of the leader. Thus in this way I identified Mark
Zuckerberg as the leader on which I will conduct research on and this has helped me in particular
to be able to complete this project with perfection.
Conclusion- It means concluding what has happened (Bedi, Alpaslan and Green, 2016).
As I worked on the project of leadership I was able to conclude that leadership is a skill which is
helpful for the growth of an organization in particular. I can also conclude that working on this
project leads towards the enhancement of skills and abilities in particular in a more efficient
manner.
Action plan- It refers to planning for doing something different in a similar situation
(Covin and Slevin, 2017). As I have completed the project on leadership I think while doing a
project on same topic in the future I can enhance my presentation skills so that the project can
look better. This can help me get better marks in my assignment in university.
Achievement of skills-
While studying in an university a student gets a chance to work on various assignments
and projects. These are especially helpful in the achievement of various skills in the future time
period. The skills which can be achieved are explained as follows-
 Communication skills- Communication skills are helpful for communicating in an
effective manner (Hoyt and Murphy, 2016). For a student these skills are essential so that
a good job can be secured after completing studies from university. While completing the
project on leadership, I was able to achieve these skills through communicating with my
classmates in the university about the way they will use to complete this project.

 Research skills- Research skills are essential for the purpose of conducting a through
analysis on a project. Proper research techniques are crucial for a person so that deep
knowledge can be gathered on a subject with relative ease. As I started the project on
leadership, I had to use my research skills because so much information had to be
gathered for completing it.
 The use of ICTs- Information and Communication technology skills are highly useful for
using the technology in a better manner. While working on the project of leadership, I
was able to make the use of ICTs by researching on the internet about the needs and
requirements of the project. This helped me a lot by ensuring that work can be completed
by me in a better manner and I can present the work effectively.
 Teamwork- Teamwork is an important skill which is very crucial because it is helpful in
ensuring that better cooperation and coordination can be ensured while working in a team
to facilitate the better achievement of the goals and objectives (Silva, 2016). As the
project on leadership involved doing a lot of discussion this helped me a lot in achieving
teamwork skills.
 Time and self-management- Time and self-management skills are important from the
point of view of the students as this helps them in the achievement of success in the
future time period. By completing the project on leadership I was able to make sure that I
achieve these skills as the different tasks of the project were to be completed by
displaying effective time and self-management skills.
 Problem-solving skills- Problem-solving skills are quite crucial for the students because
while completing their projects and assignments they face different types of problems for
which solutions are required to be found (Uhl-Bien and Arena, 2018). As a student in the
university, I had to face the different types of problems and issues while completing the
project on leadership and thus these skills were quite helpful in identifying them and
solving them in a highly effective manner.

make sure that I analyse the way I can
learn more about the use of new
technology so that I can use it
practically. This will be helpful for my
projects and assignments in the future.
 The development of teamwork skills
will require making the use of
opportunity to work with the different
types of team members and display the
required cooperation and coordination.
The analysis of problems while
working in a team will also be made.
For my projects and assignments the
use of these skills will be helpful in the
future.
 The development of time and self-
management skills will require that I
manage my time in a better manner.
Further I should also focus on
completion of my tasks quickly so that
self-management skills can be
enhanced.
 For the use of problem-solving skills
there is a requirement for me to be able
to identify and assess the nature of
problem so that effective rectification
can be made for it in the future time
period.
Measurement of performance I will measure my performance from time-to-

time and will reflect on the achievement of
these skills. If I have achieved them and still I
have some deviations and variations then I will
use rectifying techniques to remove them. Also
by making the use of performance
enhancement techniques I will gather
knowledge regarding improving my
performance through the right use of these
skills.
CONCLUSION
From the above report, it can be concluded that leadership is an important skill which has
to be there in the leaders to be able to lead an organization towards success. A leader has a
certain role to be played. There are different styles of leadership which can be adopted by a
leader. There are certain theories which can be used by the leaders for performing their tasks. A
Reflective Journal can be used to give an account of reflection on how a particular task was
completed and what can be done in the future when the same task is given.
