TITLE: To identify the issues and challenges that will arise in implementation of
equality and Diversity practice at the workplace. “Case study of Mark and
Spencer”
INTRODUCTION
Equity and Diversity is an important concept to the organisation which means
providing the equal opportunity to every individual of the society at the workplace within the
organisation. This is also related to assisting and attaining the various opportunities in benefit
which will increase the development of staff within the organisation as well as provide them
of positive thinking. While performing different activities within the organisation it is
important to execute the equality and Diversity for facing these different challenges of the
management team in a company. The present report was considered on M&S, it is a fashion
related brand which is operating in UK with various stores (Daskalov, 2017). A normal size
company which is directly deal in fashion brands as well as some other fashion output. In this
present research there will be starting along with the objectives which are developed by the
researcher so that investigation can be done effectively. After that, the report includes the
detailed descriptions about the WBS, PMP and Gantt chart. In the middle of the report there
will be discussion conducted on what type of research and approaches are best for the
researcher to identify different aspects of this report. The end of the report there will be some
recommendations which are given by the investigator after conducting the full research in an
effective manner.

P1 Project aims and objectives
Equality and Diversity is that terminology which can be defined as the fair and equal
opportunity for the every individual who is working in an organisation and manage the work
by focusing on all kind of factors which can reduce the general discrimination. From recent
years, it is analysed that work discrimination is a major problem within the workplace this is
because it impact on employee’s performance as well as their effectiveness on the work.
Discrimination can be defined as gaps between races gender religion sex believe sexual
orientation and other things which are directly related to human behaviour.it is also identify
that equality and diversity in an organisation play a crucial role for satisfying the
requirements of employees. Large number of organisations is dealing with this problem of
discrimination which impact on their performance (Williams, 2016).

So, this is must for Mark and Spencer to identify the importance of different elements
and workforce diversity as well as manage them in an appropriate manner for increasing the
profitability and performance of the organisation.it can also use to formulate laws and
regulation which must be implemented by the government of UK for saving the interest of
employees on the workplace and manage the diversity within the organisation for working
environment of male and female.

What are the ways to overcome issues related with equality and diversity?
P2 Project Management Plan
A project management plan can be defined as that written document which is related to
the blueprint of a map which is provided the positive assistance to the company in for
performing and investigating the effective approaches as well as identifying the ways to fulfil
its objectives. Plan which includes number of policies plants and strategies which are directly
related to the company and help company in conducting all the business functions in a
smooth manner by considering the time allotted to each and every staff member of
organisation. This also established equality and Diversity at the workplace and manage
conflict effectively.
Cost: Cost can be said as in total number of amount which is used by an company
to achieve goals and targets of production. And also define as an amount which is
the company by which it will be able to produce the product in high quantity as

well as good quality for serving the needs of customers in target market.
According to the present research, it is also analyse that research in lead to an
adequate amount of funds which can conduct the investigation in a proper manner
and produce the required output. This is also identifying that there are three types
of costing techniques which can be used by the researcher. Techniques are
budgeting cost breakdown structure and cash flow statement. According to the
research the total amount required by the researcher is 90 Euro for conducting the
investigation in an adequate manner(Englund and Graham, 2019)
Scope: score with an all the important factor which must be included in research
as it will help company in presenting the investigation in the construction of both
real as well as virtual business. Refer to the current investigation, very white in
context of marks and Spencer as well as all the small scale business is mainly
performs their function in this sector. After the completion of this research the
investigator unable to give the number of opportunities that will make its future
effective as well as achieve the goals and objectives which are determined by
M&S.
Time: it is also important factors which are directly related to the research as it
will affect impact the outcomes of the research because of its availability. It is
also analyse the time of the research is decided by the manager investigation help
in management of the project by dividing it in small and indicating different time
to each. In the current report, for completing the report and the whole
investigation the estimated time will be 6 months. This is because it will help in
reducing the proper outcomes as well as identifying the positive results in the
given timeline.
Quality: Quality is also an essential element which is required while performing
a research this is because collection of quality information and data essential for
performing the research and investigation has always getting the positive
outcomes. This data are formed and gathered from different and authenticate
sources which will help company in maintaining the quality of data. What is also
important to keep all the information for credential as it will help researcher
investigating more effectively (Klein, 2016) .
Communication: communication is important part of school research process as
it include number of information which have to supplied to the team members of

a research as long as it will also help in conducting the research in a proper
manner that delay in supply of information can be stopped. In the present research
report it is required by the researcher to use proper tools and techniques which are
directly related to supply of information and communicate the information in an
effective manner so that, efficiency can be achieved. For this it can use telephonic
calls email and meetings which will directly help in conducting the research on
continuous basis.
Risk: Risk is also factor which impact on the research directly or indirectly.in the
current report one of the main which is directly associated with the research is
that the information which is generated by the researcher and identified in the
research is not so authentic and can impact on the full research. That's why does
the liability of the researcher to identify the authentic information which will not
impact on the working and reputation of the organisation in in market place
(Thompson, 2016)
Resources: the current investigation is followed on M & S and The White topic of
equality and diversity in organisation specially the small one that is not operating at
large scale. The main resources which are used in this research are land labour capital
and many more all of these are available resources which help researcher in
conducting the research in an appropriate manner where it can achieve the
effectiveness as well as increase the productivity of research for an individual and
organisation.
P3 Work breakdown structure and Gantt chart
Work-breakdown structure- Work breakdown structure is that tool which is being
used dividing the large number of activity in some small parts that can divide the work in
easily finished all the work according to the requirements of the research. This is beneficial in
order to organise a team work in a manager so that company can achieve effectiveness in
research. This will divide the activities in some manners so that member of the team can
easily execute all their work according to the requirements and free determine targets.it is a
tool which is which is also used in managing all the assigned task according to the needs and
the given time so the detailed information about the project can be identified and achieve (Ng
and Stamper, 2018). The breaking of task into the small component must also help company
in ensuring the overall business productivity and increase the chances of business growth.
