A.1 New project at lightning Fast
The paper mainly reflects on the organization lightning Fast that generally undertake a
new ride project in order to attract the children’s towards the theme park. With the help of the
new ride, the organization will be able to provide new interesting experiences for the
children’s that further helps in enhancing the efficiency of the theme park. The revenue that is
generated from the new ride will be helpful in improving the financial condition of the
organization and also helps in improving the competitive position of the organization in the
market. The objectives of the project are generally listed below:
 To develop a new ride for the theme park
 To attract the children by providing new interesting experiences
 To enhance the financial profit and for making the organization competitive
A.2 Justification of the project
The main aim of the entire project is to develop a new ride within the theme park for
providing excellent experience of ride to the customers. Due to the new ride within the theme
park, the children as well as youngsters get attracted to the ride and thus the number of
visitors within the theme park generally increases and thus the profit that is generally earned
from the park also get increase. It is found that the yearly revenue of the organization get
increased which will further helpful for expanding the business of the organization. The new
ride services that is mainly provided by the organization not only increases the budget of the
organization but also helps in making the organization very much competitive in comparison
to other organization.

A.3 Estimation of the requirements breakdown structure
The requirement breakdown structure or the RBS is generally referred as the
decomposition of the different project need that will further be linked with the entire solution
in order to deliver the business value of the project quite effectively (Kerzner and Kerzner
2017). The RBS structure generally includes functions, sub-functions, processes, activities as
well as features. The BS for this specific project that is mainly undertaken in order to provide
excellent ride to the children’s are generally reflected with the help of the figure that is
generally given below:

A.4 Four quadrants of the Project Landscape
It is found that the project generally have four different types of quadrants within the
project landscapes that is generally showcased below. As per the image, If the entire project
objectives are clear with clear solution then the project will remain within the linear
incremental quadrant and on the other hand, if the project goals are not clear and the solution
is clear then the project will remain within the extreme quadrant (Hornstein 2015). In
addition to this, if both the goals as well as solution of the project are not clear then the
project will be placed in the extreme quadrant (Kerzner 2017).

From the above diagram or figure, it is analyzed that the development of new ride
project that is generally undertaken will be remain the linear incremental quadrant as the both
the goals as well as solutions of the project are generally considered to be clear. It is analyzed
that the main goal of the project is to provide excellent experience of ride to the children and

which is done within the development of a new ride. Thus, it is reflected that both the
solutions as well as goals inked with the project are clear.
A.5 Project Management Life Cycle
The lifecycle of the project generally assists in illustrating the high level project
procedures for the entire project that assists in elaborating the procedures in order to deliver
the entire project success. The PM Lifecycle generally comprises of five different phases of
the project including the starting phase, planning phase, execution, monitoring and project
closure phase (Steenkamp and Bekker 2018). The project undergoes through all the steps or
phases in order to successfully finish the work of the project within the expected time.
Additionally, there are different types of project lifecycle that the project follows and they
mainly include waterfall model, interactive model as well as adaptive approach. After
analyzing the needs as well as requirements, the best approach is selected and as per which
the entire project is collected by undergoing through all the phases (Hornstein 2015).
It is identified the scope of the project is generally found as one of the important part
that is associated with project planning that assists in recording as well as defining the entire
deliverables of the project. The scope of the project is mainly considered to be helpful for
accomplishing the project goals (Kerzner 2017). The scoping assists in making sure that the
project scope is deigned quite effectively which further helps in enabling that the manager of
the project will generally be able to allocate the cost as well as labours or successfully
completing the project.
A.6 Appropriate PMLC for the entire project
It is identified that in this particular project, incremental life cycle of the project is
considered to be very much appropriate. Within this approach or lifecycle model, the team of
the project works on a specific set of project deliverables that are signed off. This approach

mainly uses different types of steps such that the project development generally goes within
the linear fashion that generally starts from the kick off phase of the entire project. This
particular approach is considered to be useful with various types of steps that include design,

incremental model mainly utilizes the same type of pattern. This lifecycle of the project is
mainly found to be important as this particular approach is quite flexible that further needs
less amount of money for changing the requirements as well as project scope. It is found to be
quite easier to undertake testing as well as debugging during the project iteration process
quite effectively. Moreover, it is analyzed that by using this specific PM Lifecycle, it will be
very much easier for determining the different phases of the project very much efficiently.

B.5 Reason behind the utilization of project Libre
It is found that Project Libre is used in comparison to Microsoft project for
developing the project plan for the Roller costal project. It is found that ProjectLibre is one of
the free as well as open source management software systems that are mainly utilized as one
of the standalone replacement for the Microsoft project. It is found that the project Libre is

one of the software tool that is considered to be compatible with the MS project and thus the
project that is created in MS project can be opened with Project Libre. In addition to this, it is
found that the import as well as export capabilities that are generally present within the
projecctLibre is also considered to be beneficial (Kostalova, Tetrevova and Svedik 2015).
While creating a project, the project Libre utilizes similar approach as MS project and
generally lists the project tasks, indents them and then sets proper duration, links as well as
project predecessors.
Moreover, the open source alternative software also includes number of other features
including Gantt charts, work breakdown structure as well as network diagram. These are also
compared with the features of the MS project. It is found that the users generally set proper
dependencies, baselines as well as use number of calendars for properly reflecting the
Woking as well as non-working days (Abramova, Pires and Bernardino 2016). It is found
that the project Libre is generally a cloud version and it will further be helpful in extending
the open source software within the cloud so that the project can be accessed at any time
irrespective of the time and location It is found that unlike the single user desktop version, it
is found that cloud version must be capable of handling multiple number of projects. Thus,
the simple project management feature will generally be helpful. The team dashboard will be
helpful in allowing different types of project collaboration from the members in various
locations. It is found that the pricing will generally be offered with the simple monthly
subscription procedure.
In addition to this, it is found that the project Libre is quite perfect for the business
that has single requirements of the project. It generally helps in handling the project with he
traditional project management tools that generally take care of scheduling the projects based
on different aspects (Wei et al. 2017). Moreover, projecctLibre generally helps in supporting
the social media like collaboration platform, forms as well as wikis. It generally helps n

supporting different types of code integration as well as a number of workflows that is
generally utilized for tracking. Moreover, the ProjectLibre has generally limited is reporting
features to dashboard with the proper ability of exporting the PDF without any type of
restrictions. It is found that the present version of the project generally include the Microsoft
project 2010 compatibility, ribbon user interface, earned value costing, Gantt chart, Pert
graph, ask usage reports, work breakdown structure.
Conclusion
It can be concluded that the development of the new rise for the theme park not only
helps in providing excellent riding services to the customers but also assists in increasing the
revenue as well as completive advantage. It is analyzed that the project generally uses
incremental PM Lifecycle for managing the project quite properly. However, it is identified
that the use of the project Libre is generally reflected by developing Gantt chart and WBS for
the roller costal project. Moreover, it is analyzed that the project Libre is one of the simple
software tool that takes very much little for properly planning with the help of different key
dates for successfully developing the project schedule.
