Introduction
The report will outline the critical evaluation of the assessment 1 by considering the
various points such as detailed analysis of success and failure factors (Powell and McGuigan,
2020). Another one is the reflective part of lessons learnt along with the recommendations for
further improvement. As per the assessment 1, the project was related to the University of Wales
Trinity Saint David in relation to establishing the Salisbury House. This house is an additional
block to implement the plan of project in an efficient manner (Korthagen and Nuijten, 2022).
Critical success/failure factors
Critical success factors
Various success factors are explained below-
Market related factors- These are one of the important success factors in which the project get
affected by it as there are environmental factors that takes place outside the organisation. On
such factors, the company has no control. But they play a crucial role in the overall success of
the project such as technological, actions of the other companies and the policy of government
and many others (Sato and Kageto, 2020).
Engagement of Stakeholders- In the given case study, teachers, students, employees, higher
authority, the government, society, and others are all crucial participants in the project. In which
Internal stakeholders comprise of students, teachers, staff, university management, professors,
and on the other hand, external stakeholders considers government, society, and higher
authorities. Above mentioned all the stakeholders are responsible for maintaining better relations
in project execution and they have the power to influence the overall programme.
Clearly defined tasks- When the tasks are properly defined in the project then a task or work
can lead to achieve big goals . It is also essential to set the way or path to compete the project
successfully (Botelho and Bhuyan, 2021).
Best experience- When the people are linked with any project so, it is important to consider
themselves by giving them value so that they contribute more to the project. It is also crucial to
provide the best experiences to the students so the project can be made successful. The project
should deliver what they promise with other by keeping their promise and by giving qulaity
services to keep them informative and satisfied.

Awareness about project- When the people and learners are not aware about any project then,
they will be not be able to receive the benefits of that. Such as the project is made in order to
bring some delivery to the specific people and due to which, the organisation also get benefits
from it.
Best quality services to the learners- In relation to the give case, the best interaction with the
parents and the learners is vital because customer service is that factor which may create or
damage the image of the project in the market. That is why, the project must appoint such people
who are experienced and belong to this filed (Bagnall, Hodge and O’Regan, 2022).
Having a clear plan- It is also essential to have a clear set of plan and goals to bring success in
the organisation . The first thing is to have a plan that comprises of the desired goals in a proper
manner and these clear goal will lead to streamline the actions to attain the goals.
Proper skills and knowledge- In relation to the given case, the communication, money
management and taking constructive feedback are required in the chosen sector. These skills are
considered to be success factors in determining success of the organisation.
Failure factor
Various failure factors are explained below-
Poor planning in some areas- Although the overall project was properly managed but due to
lack of planning the project faced some issues as the role of each member was not clear. The
roles were not clearly defined and there were no deadlines attached to it. Such unclear objectives
affected the overall progress of the work and lead to unclear conclusion of the work (Yousef and
Khatiry, 2021).
Lack of communication-Due to lack of knowledge and experience, poor communication
affected the whole project management and there was less interaction between the members of
the team.
Lack of proper visibility- there are always some points which are related with projects which
can lead to the failure of the project. Hence, it is important to have proper project management
system which allows the proper visibility for all the members of the project and the team.
High Expectation- With the limited budget, the project can not be make successful and when
the activities are not managed and monitored by the management. Less progress check can be a
reason for the failure of project Liu, 2020).

Poor distribution of work- When the work is not assigned as per the capabilities of the persons
associated then many project many fail. That is why, all the people are given role as per their
abilities to perform given activities.
Poor formation of objectives- The objectives of the project must be defined properly so that
people know what they are doing. Such clear goals allows the learners to measure their targets
by visualising their desired growth ( Ozdemir and et.al., 2019).
Ignorance to technological values- It comprises of creating a direct relation between the
company and the project in which the plan is taken care and the technological factors are
ignored. Nowadays, technology is getting involved in the education and the organisation is
getting updated towards the technological aspects (Brunstein and et.al., 2019).
Include the learners at the beginning-In any project, the people should be involved so that they
feel connected and valued in the organisation during their learning journey. If learners do not feel
connected then , they wont choose the particular organisation for their future.
Lesson learnt
While performing the project, I got to learn about the project management approaches and
principles which can be applied in the future project. All the team was able to retain more in the
lessons with the help of mentors. With the help of systemic process of learning, I was able to see
the importance of my own learning process. In addition to this, I found the ways to attract the
opportunity with preventive solutions by reflecting my own thoughts and feelings. In this project,
I got to learn about various activities that is planning, managing and scheduling the project. I also
understood the importance of using resources efficiently which was essential for making the
project successful (Makrides and Yeates, 2022). We all were able to plan together as it is
essential to keep the team members engaged in the quality for the better accomplishment of the
tasks. Along with , it i got the role of risk management in initiating any project and I have been
able to realise about various methods to work in a team. The classes given by the mentors gave
us a brief explanation of the main topics which has been discussed in the assessment 1. Working
in a team allowed me to learn the role and importance of leadership because it is that factor
which drives all the learners to learn better (Chen, 2020). By following the provided framework
by the mentors, I have also developed the value of time management and I was able to keep the
things organised. Gradually, my confidence got increased that is why, I was able to contribute
and perform better in the team. My seniors and mentors also shared so many tips with me such as

to improve my communication skills and thinking before speaking skills which led to boost the
level of confidence in me. Our mentors presented the idea of motivation, fun and commitment
while accomplishing the project and they also used the team building exercises so that we could
work together for the overall betterment. Through the help of this project, I practised about the
project planning and focussed on the project. We all the learners also got the constructive
feedback to attract more opportunities in life. With the help of such management, I realised the
importance of success in my life to settle down the issues. In this module, we all the learners
were able to understand the project from start to end. Such understanding is directly linked to
smarter and better performance at the work.
At various levels of learning, we all were able to use and implement the learning to
various situations. I learnt to think logically in the whole learning journey and we have also
made so many discussion with each to get better understanding of the topic. Also, this module
tend to enhance the growth with better mindset by learning my own language.
In this project, I have acquired knowledge and information of different elements and in
relation to the aspects of organisation. Moreover, going through the activities of the specific
concept and topic, I was supported by my mentors. Therefore, all the content and knowledge
facilitated in my learning and personal development is all due to the assistance of fellow students
and the senior management. All the learnings,sufficient knowledge and experiences from the
project will be implemented in the future circumstances (Topping, 2018). In this project due to
setting personal objectives I can got the direction in order to achieve the desired objectives of
the project as well life. Because once the goals are sorted and well written, then the mind will be
clear about attaining such goals. With the aim of achieving big targets, even the smallest tasks
done on daily basis matters a lot. In the initial stage, I was nervous and confuse about the project
and the learning journey because I was not confident enough to tackle the issues so quickly. This
project prepared me to do well in the future and gave me the real world experience to finish my
projects on time efficiently. I also took part in all the activities of the given project and I have
also noticed and felt that taking advantage of feedback and visual learning is one of my way of
learning because under this i got the opportunity to amend my mistakes by having
images ,videos, written and verbal feedback. Under this project, i got both positive and
constructive feedback from my mentors as per my performance that supported me in keeping
myself organised and motivated. For example, It was done in the form of class

surveys,discussion and quiz. Also, all the learners are given the opportunities to clear our
queries anytime. Along with it, I did not find any difficulty in learning project as my seniors and
mentors have always been there for me. With the help of the experienced mentors, i understood
the various problems and challenges in the learning journey. I also learnt new ways to improve
my communication skills by being an active listener through paying attention when someone
says something and sharing their own thoughts and ideas. In this project, i have also developed
combination of various skills such as presentation skills, time management skills, decision
making skills, critical thinking and problem solving, analytical thinking, communication skills
and many others. In addition to this, I was able to analyse my strengths, weakness, opportunities
and threats. Under this project, I did my personal analysis that supported me in setting my
desired goals of the professional and professional goals. As a learner, I just needed a direction in
accomplishing the personal objectives of the work life. Due to this analysis, I got some
objectives that allows me to gather the efforts which will serve as a guide to reach success in
the future. Once the goals are definite, learners will be clear about the project to accomplish. In
which the term personalised learning is a term which is defined as a learning approach which
targets on the plus point, skills, interest and requirement of the learners. With the help of the
project, I was able to better my personalised learning because I got the chance to interact with
new learners and teachers. Also, it is crucial for all the learners to acquire a core set of
knowledge and develop various skills during the project. By taking part in the project, I analysed
that it would help me a lot in management of the various activities within a specific period of
time. The framing of proper time management allowed to deal with a complex process of
learning and I examined that I can easily manage the time for a particular activity, which I did
not use to do before. I also noticed that many of my fellow learners following the project and its
techniques which allowed all the learners to be prepared in being encouraged. Also, I also
analysed that by following this schedule, i can improve my time-management skills that will help
me in structuring the self-confidence too. Still, I also need to recognize the present resources,
ideas and various opportunities to be more successful in life. This project also helped me in
rising my time-management skills and facilitates me thinking properly and systematically about
my learning experiences. By using this project in my life, I felt more encouraged in making sense
of situations and work out how to do better in next time. My mentors suggested me to make use
of specific tricks in using knowledge and facts in order to deal with the problems. I also

maintained a positive mindset by attending various workshops and training during the time of
project.
Recommendation
On the basis of above information and the previous assessment it can be suggested that-
 The project is required to assigned the work and duties as per the abilities of the persons
associated in order to bring success in the work. To improve the overall functioning, all
the people are given role as per their abilities to perform given activities in an proper
manner.
 As the budget is limited, that is a drawback in order to perform better, the organisation is
suggested to increase the budget so that all the things will be managed easily to make it a
successful project.
 It is also suggested to make the communication better so that the learners share ideas to
stay informed (Sato and Kageto, 2018). Due to miscommunication, a lot of
misunderstanding can take place .

Conclusion
From the above report, it can be concluded that there are some factors which are
responsible for the overall growth or failure of the project. Through the above mentioned report
and reflective evaluation, one can understand the various factors which are linked to the people.
Along with it, the organisation comprises of the reflective section.
