EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Project management is that practice of initiating, planning, executing and controlling the
work of a team in order to attain the goals to meet the specific target. In the same way, the report
is based upon the university who wants to deliver the music festival and for that critical path is
analyzed that helps to deliver the goals. Also, study shows the internal stakeholder i.e. designer,
director and managers while external stakeholders are suppliers, business partners, government
etc.

INTRODUCTION
Project management plays a crucial role in the success of the project. The current study
is based upon the project i.e. music festival. For that, the study will present three project
management methodologies with their pros and cons and then present the Gantt chart with
critical path. Further, research also present the stakeholder analysis and the describe the 5
different types of risk with its mitigation strategies.
TASK 1
Presenting three project management methodologies
Waterfall Project Management: One of the oldest project management methodology
and still used by many teams. Though this methodology is consider slowest that its counterparts
and it is useful for those company who is looking to have a lot of structure or predictability.
This method is actually based upon the six phases such that System and software requirement,
analysis, design, coding, testing and operations (Project Management methodologies, 2019).
Pros: The biggest advantage of using this method is such that it helps to maintain the stringent
stages and deadlines. This method uses clear structure and determine the end goals early and
transform the information in well manner.
Cons: This method is actually makes the changes difficult and also excludes the end users too.
Also, delay testing until after completion is also consider loophole.
PRINCE2 Methodology: This method is used by the private sectors and also focused on
the efficiency as well as minimize the risk as well (Joslin, 2019). Further, this method is also
help to control over the entire project i.e. start from end and its thoroughly planned structure
helps to make the project better.
Pros: the biggest advantage of using this methodology is it accepts the challenges easily and
quickly, also reduce the project risk too. Also, it increases the team productivity and also
understand how to invest all the resources.

Cons: This method require senior management buy-in to be successful and also does not cover
the soft skills. That is why, most of the company did not uses this method.
Scrum methodology: This method is actually based upon the five values such that
commitment, courage, focus, openness and respect. Further, the goals is to develop and sustain
the complex products through collaboration, iterative progress (Chavez, 2018).
Pros: This method allows for good enough development so that it provide best outcomes as well.
It also provide exact results with best incremental delivery system.
Cons: Sometimes, it become difficult for structure, plan and organize the project which
sometimes lack definition. Also, lack of communication also leads to cause negative impact
upon the project and its delivery system too.
Among, all, for this project, project manager chooses PRINCE2 methodology that helps
to focus on the higher management level and also, it is a predictive approach that helps to deliver
the project in better manner.

identification and analyzing the needs. This is also used to determine the primary and secondary

will help to keep the project on tracks (Langer, 2020). Also, through written documents all the
stakeholder take updates and it also increases the stakeholder’s visibility into a project and
determine the status as well.

CONCLUSION
By summing up above it has been concluded that through bets project management
methodologies, the music festival can be easily deliver. Also, report concluded the importance
of stakeholder analysis and use of better communication planning as well. Further, the critical
path of this project is 119 days in which project manager easily attain the goal. Further, study
also concluded different types of risk and its mitigation strategies which assist to meet the
define aim and objectives of the project.
