Objectives and Project Priorities

The main objective of the project was –
To launch the FTL project on 1 July 2019
To coincide with the Asia’s Food Safety
Convention’s Opening Day
The project was able to meet all the identified
objectives. The figure on the right side indicates
that the project was launched on Asia’s Food
Safety Convention’s Opening Day

(2) The priority of the project is as follows-
The FTL project should be launched no
sooner than 1st July 2019
The Project need to incorporate and extra
requirement of Fipronil Testing
The set priorities of the project was successfully
met.
The figure on the left indicates the schedule of
the project that involved launching of FTL
project on 1st July and Fipronil Testing.

Schedule Changes
The FTL project, involved launch of
the Food Test Laboratory on 1st July
2019.
The change in the schedule of the
project was mainly because of the
incorporation of Fipronil Testing
The project was initially set to
complete in 62 days
But it took 65 days to complete

Schedule Change
From the figure in the left, it can be
concluded that increase of the number of days
for design program resulted in change in
schedule
The increase in in the days of design of test
program is mainly because of the
incorporation of Fipronil Testing.
Only peter had expertise to performed this
work.

Cost Overrun and Contributors
of cost overruns
Certain cost overrun is observed in the
project
 The Project exceeded the initial budget
mainly because of the increase in number of
days for completion of the project
The figure in the right indicates the cost
overruns of the project as generated from the
MS project.

Lesson Learnt
The lesson learnt points in the project are as follows-
 It is necessary to properly plan a project
Appropriate cost estimation is needed for managing a project in an
effective manner
Project Plan should consider slips and delays for better estimation of
the project cost

Suggestions
The suggestions associated with the implementation of the project are as
follows-
 Prioritization of the project in appropriate manner could have helped in
resolving the schedule issue
More resources was necessary to ensure that the project task load is not
on Peter
Fibronil Testing needed a more detailed change management approach
