PROJECT MANAGEMENT
1. Clear outline of the project
The main focus of the paper is network system implementation within a retail organization in
Australia. It is found that the retail organization have mainly increased its branches in different cities
within Australia. Due to the expansion, the organization generally faces a lot of problems in properly
getting access of the information as well as data. For mitigating this type of issues, the organization
generally wants to properly implement a network system which generally helps in connecting with the
various branches of the organization. This is generally considered to be very much beneficial for the
head office of the organization as they are capable of getting track on the different branches. Moreover,
the project will commence on 28-05-2019 and as per the assumption, the entire project will generally
get finished within 11-09-19. The project objectives are:
To get the opportunity of accessing data as well as information from different branches
To get the opportunity of properly expanding the entire business operations of the organization
quite effectively.
To undertake successful implementation of the network system
2. Project functional and non-functional requirements
It is found that for successfully implementing the network system, both the functional and non-
function requirements are generally needed which are generally illustrated below:
Functional requirements Data access: It is found that with the help of the
network system, the head office of the
organization generally has access on the
information of different branches (Aziz, 2017).
Security: The network system must have proper
external interface that should be capable of
protecting the network from hackers and thus
helps in providing proper level of security.
Authentication: Proper authentication must be
present that will generally obstruct the entry of
the unauthorized users within the network.
Non-functional requirements Speed: The system must provide proper facility of
speed such that the data of the different

branches can get managed quite effectively
(Badewi, 2016).
Maintainability: Proper facility of maintenance
must be given within the entire network system
such that the network must be properly
maintained.
Reliability: High reliability of the network
system must be present so that the data from the
different branches can be handled effectively
(Kopczyńska, Nawrocki & Ochodek, 2018).
3. Project team members roles and expertise
Title Skills
Project manager The project manager must have proper ability of
managing the project effectively. They must have
proper skills of leading as well as communication
for successfully managing the project work
(Todorovic etal., 2015).
Project planner The planner takes the task of coordinating the
entire workflow of production and generally
assists in successfully planning as well as
prioritizing the operations of the organization.
Network engineer The network engineers generally help in properly
maintaining as well as administering the network
as well as computer-based environment.
Network consultant They generally design as well as maintains the
entire network system of the computer for
implementing the network system (Svejvig &
Andersen, 2015).
