2 PROJECT MANAGEMENT AGILEPost 1Following the traditional waterfall methodology or similar project management approach,may not work always. The non-iterative approach of traditional model lacks the feedback path,which is an essential criterion for development of an enhanced project. Therefore, it is alwaysintelligent to follow an agile approach in the projects that might exhibit a change in scope orstand a chance of improvement. Monitoring and controlling the project progress is another essential part of an effectiveproject management. It helps in highlighting the different issues associated with the project andhelps in eliminating it as well. Post 2Scrum is an agile process that helps in delivering projects of highest value in a very shortperiod of time. Therefore, the projects mainly software projects, that have a clear scope is bestsuitable to follow the scrum methodology approach. The project, with a timeline of a year andmore is generally not suitable for this approach. Software projects are best suited for Scrum approach as scrum methodology offersflexibility to improvise the project during its implementation. As need for improvising theproject is inevitable in the testing or debugging phase of the software development, scrummethodology is highly recommended for such projects. Post 3The agile methodology is generally used in project implementation when a particularproject is flexible enough to include changes in the project scope while its implementation. It
