INTRODUCTION
Project management refers to the activity of leading all the operations in team so that they
can collectively achieve the project goals before the prescribed guideline. Before starting and
developing the project managers usually maintained the project documentation which involves
time, scope and budget. Project management involves various essential activities are like
developing a team so that they commence operation and focus on the project outcomes which are
expected by the organisation (Hair and Sarstedt, 2021) . This report is based on virtual delivery
system which help students in learning new things about their course work during pandemic
situation. It involves various platforms and methods like instructional videos, books, writing,
podcast, webinars, distance learning and professional certification courses. This report will
include critical evaluation of project along with identification of failure factors and critical
success factors. It also involves which lesson is learnt through this project along with
recommendations considering the career path in project management. This report will also
include the skill which is required to become a successful project manager.
MAIN BODY
Critical evaluation of the project chosen
The project which was implemented is virtual delivery system which is related to the
university of Wales Trinity Saint David, London. It helps University in providing lectures
through online medium so that a students can easily learn courses during the time of covid-19
(Picciotto, 2020). Due to lock down, universities are unable to commence classes for students
which results in execution of this project. With the help of this project University can effectively
communicate with the students and provide learning through virtual delivery which was best
suitable according to the situation. To provide virtual services University use advanced
technology which results in effective performance by providing face to face sessions and
lectures.
Success and failure factors of this project
Flexibility and accessibility: During covid-19 pandemic it is a successful opportunity for
universities as well as the students to learn courses through online platform. Students can easily
schedule their classes according to their time table and teachers also commence their lecture
according to their schedule which provides a sense of flexibility to both the users. Due to closure

of physical classes, it is helpful for students to continue their learning and session which is
essential for the growth according to their requirements.
Cost effective: Virtual delivery system results in cost effective values because it reduces
the cost of travel expenses for students. Universities can also enjoy this successful cost-effective
factor because they do not have to invest huge amount in their infrastructures and other
equipment (Wu and et.al., 2021). Due to cost effective factor, this project becomes more
sustainable in context to all the living beings and respective environment of them which is one of
the major successful factors. Online classes which involves face to face interaction of professors
and students proves very beneficial in various factors like cost effective because it do not involve
excessive cost which can hamper the learnings.
Relationship building: Through virtual delivery system students and teachers can interact
on regular basis during the time of lock down due to covid 19 pandemic. With the type the help
of technological advancements universities can effectively provide online services which
maintains a better relationship and healthy environment of learning for students. This project
assist in building the abilities of teamwork between students and teacher with the help of regular
conversation through the online platform of virtual delivery system. It also helps in developing
various skills like socialization skills because it allows in sharing information and ideas which
can help all the participants.
Failure factors of this project
Along with the successful factors, there are various failure factors are also involved in
this project which is faced by the university are as follows:
Adoption difficulties: Since this project is new for all the students which is slightly
difficult to adopt for them because it involves different features (Pan and Zhang, 2021). Students
take time to inherit the knowledge of using the virtual delivery system programs so that they can
learn without any difficulties. Colleges and teachers have to guide students how to use the
system and operate various features which are differently new for some students.
Technological disturbance: During the execution of this virtual delivery system project,
University have to face lot of challenges in the context of technological factors. There were
various issues in this project in the initial stages which are security issues login issues and access

Lack of personal touch: Due to online presence of classrooms there can be a experience
of lack of personal or human context which is a negative factor of this project. Lack of personal
touch may results in lack of social engagement which is essential to enhance the various skills in
students. It can increase stress and burdens of both the parties involving teachers and students
because they cannot properly communicate and share their feeling regarding the current
environment which is affected by covid 19 pandemic.
Lesson learnt from this project
It is critically evaluated that this project helps in learning various new things during covid-
19 pandemic which is essential for the commencement of the classes. It assist in learning how to
update, plan and monitor various activities and how to manage team of large number of people
so that they can collectively achieve the goals of the project (Chofreh and et.al., 2019).
Successful execution of plan requires analyses of the internal and external environment of the
organisation which can be evaluated with the help of various tools and techniques. It is important
to evaluate the weaknesses and strengths of the projects and assessment of outcome after the
evaluation of the project. There are various other learnings which help college and Universities
which can be discussed as below:
Understanding the requirements and importance of stakeholders: This project help in
learning the requirements of the student and teacher respectively so that they can offer the
services which satisfy the needs of both the parties. It helps in building strong and healthy
relationship between students and University which is essential for the growth of both of them in
effective manner. It is essential to focus on all the factors which affect the needs of students
during the implementation or execution of project which is a virtual delivery system. This project
assist in learning the parameters which are truly affected by the execution of this project during
the pandemic situation.
Communication is key: Virtual system delivery project help in learning the factor that it is
not possible to execute any project without an effective communication among different
members who are involved in project. Communication helps in sharing and transferring
knowledge ideas and thoughts which are required for an appropriate execution of project

discuss different parameters and factors of the project which help in execution of project prior to
the deadline so that they can achieve their project goals. This project results in learning that
without communication, members may face challenges and issues because of the lack of better
coordination among members.
Prioritising activities: It can be easily learnt from this project that members have to
prioritise their each and every activities according to their deadlines. Activities which are
essential for the project have to be completed on prior basis with the help of each and every
member so that they do not face any challenges and problems throughout the project. It helped in
learning that every member should be responsible for their respective tasks so that they can
manage their performance according to the needs of the project. Proper distribution of operations
are necessary so that members do not feel burden and stress.
Change is constant: With the execution of virtual with a delivery system, it is evaluated
that the environment do not remain constant and the only thing which remain constant is change.
Plans, procedures and technologies should be adopted according to the relative environment of
the organisation so that they can effectively execute and implement their required and desired
