INTRODUCTION
The project management is a major technique which supports all major activities and
functions of a project (Aleinikova, Kravchenko, and Buryk, 2020). In the management of a
project, there are various strategic and planning frameworks which are essential for managing a
project. The project management and its dimensions helps the project manager to manage all
major things related to a project in a precise manner. This project will include example of Astra
Plc company which is a micro organisation dealing in sales of minerals and vitamins. In this
project an application named “Smart Fitness” will be designed by Astra Plc to focus on
decreasing obesity and all other major fitness related issues. This project will also include
success, scope and various kinds of risks which are part of managing a project in a systematic
way.

MAIN BODY
Project Plan
The plan related to a project includes development of a key strategy which is helpful in
increasing the strengths and capabilities to manage a project. The planning associated with the
project of Astra Plc will assist the project leader to develop key ways and techniques which are
desired to complete the project. In order to develop the application in a well-defined manner, it is
necessary for the project leader to formulate a major and effective plan (Bierwolf, 2017). The
project planning related to the application” Smart Fitness” will include focus on key dimensions
of project and analysis of risk associated with the project. The project leader will take next step
to eliminate risk and in order to complete the project on timeline, the leader will take support of
the below mentioned Gantt Chart.

Scope of project
The increasing demand of fitness in youth and old age people is the main reason behind
the development of application. According to recent developments in the information and
technology, the application will be developed with the help of IT experts. In order to provide
access to majority of population, the application will be made available on Apple store and Play
Store Google. The Smart Fitness application will provide key solutions to the youth for
maintaining good health for good life. In the application, training will be provided by good
trainers in order to effectively increase the level of customer satisfaction (Brewer, and Dittman,
2018). The budget which is set by Astra Plc will include an amount of 72000 Pounds in order to
allocate budget for major activities. Astra Plc will also include key focus on taking financial help
from local creditors and bank to develop a key approach. The Smart Fitness application will also
include major focus on facing challenges and issues related to application. The Application will
also put emphasis on providing major supplements to youth in order to increase their muscles.
Smart Fitness application will provide quick solutions related to psychological aspects in the
health and fitness related life. The software development is also one of the major aspect which
needs to be covered in management of the project. Application Smart Fitness will also focus on
increasing the key awareness of the customers related to fitness by formulating smart solutions.
Risk and its management for the project
The risk associated with different operations and activities of a project is essential to be
determined and analysed by a project leader. It is major responsibility of a project leader to focus
on increasing the role of strategies and policies in their planning framework (Copola Azenha,
and Leme Fleury, 2021). Smart Fitness Application will be including risk assessment and
evaluation in order to achieve key objectives and goals. There is a need for the project manager
to develop risk management strategy in order to deal with the consequences of risk. The main
factors related to risk attached with the application are mentioned below:
 Designing the application- The Astra Plc is although taking help of IT professionals in
order to develop the application but there is risk associated with the same. The
application designing also includes various bugs and issues that may arise during
development of application. It is major role of software developers to focus on

development and designing of application with major responsibilities for achievement of
desirable outcomes.
 Level of competition- Level of competition in the field of fitness applications is very
high (Filippetto, Lima, and Barbosa, 2021) This is major duty of application developers
and higher authorities of Astra Plc to focus on level of competition in order to gain
competitive advantage. Strategic actions and choices will also play a major role in
eliminating the risk.
 Budget and its management- The budget is considered as major approach which helps
in financial management of application (Hwang, Zhu, and Tan, 2017). It is key role of a
project manager to prepare budget related to application and formulate key actions to
utilise the budget in an advanced manner.
Success of project
The success of project related to development of application” Smart Fitness will include
key focus on the following factors:
 Download figures- The project manager should focus on analysing the downloads of the
application to measure its success (Obradović, Todorović, and Bushuyev, 2018). It is
also the key role and responsibility of a project leader to increase the downloads by
taking crucial measures and steps.
 Application promotion- Promotion of the application is a necessary task of the project
manager. Astra Plc should develop a focused marketing plan in order to increase the
potential of the application and its download figures. Promotion on social media websites
will be helpful in increasing the users.
 Increasing the consumer satisfaction- The customer satisfaction should be increased by
Astra Plc with the help of major techniques developed by higher authorities. Management
of the Astra Plc will provide good after sales services to key customers in order to
increase their satisfaction.
 Number of users- In order to measure the success of the application it is important for
the manager to focus on the users who are using the application (Silvius,2017). It is key
role of management to focus on increasing number of users to achieve key goals and
outcomes.

CONCLUSION
From the above stated report it can be concluded that management of a project is a most
crucial task for development of a major approach in project. This project concludes that it is
important for a project leader to focus on analysing goals and objectives associated with the
application to achieve major targets. The risk assessment and its minimisation is also a key
approach which will be helpful for a project manager to gain competitive edge. This project also
concludes the development of key tools and techniques which are essential for maintaining the
application and increasing its downloads.
