1. Project Overview
1.1 Project Purpose
The main purpose of the project is to construct a barbeque restaurant in Bedok, which is
one of the matured residential towns within east region of Singapore for serving high quality of
fresh food. The barbeque restaurants that are already present in the region of Bedok are quite
expensive, thus it is unaffordable for common people living in the region of Bedok. The
restaurant that is built will be helpful in providing wonderful atmosphere as well as services at a
reasonable price so that common people of that region can also enjoy the service.
1.2 Business goals and objectives
The main goal of the project is to construct a barbeque restaurant in the region of Bedok
for providing proper atmosphere as well as customer service at a reasonable price. The
construction of restaurant is also done for attracting large number of customers by providing high
quality of food. In addition to this, the restaurant will be able to provide different varieties of
menu including seafood, desserts, salad, drinks and appetizer.
The main objectives of the project are as follows:
To provide proper atmosphere as well as service to the people of Bedok at an reasonable
price
To attract large number of customers by providing high quality of food
To achieve proper level of financial growth in each quarter of restaurant opening
1.3 Project Scope and expectation
The project scope is mainly categorized into in-scope and out-scope.

In-scope: The in-scope of the project is as follows:
Construction of barbeque restaurant
Incorporation of secure parking a lot, central heating zones and well-equipped
supermarket next door
To complete the entire project of construction with the year 2019
To complete the entire project within the budget that is around $400,000
Out scope: Out scope of the project are as follows:
To expand the barbeque outside Singapore
To build different branches of the barbeque restaurant
Expectation
The expected outcomes of the project are provided below:
The entire project will be completed within the year 2019
The entire project will be completed successfully within the assumed budget that is
around $400,000
To procure various types of recommended tool as well as vendor services
Development as well as documentation of business processes
Administrator and user training
For providing facility of service bar, dispense bar, reception, cloak room, private dining
and parking area

1.4 Assumption
The assumptions of the project are as follows:
The members of the SME work group will be generally appointed before the meeting of
the first group of SME
TSD will be helpful in providing proper project staff who are mainly participating in
various project aspects
TSD will be helpful in providing proper technical support for the portfolio management
system during various project aspects
All the members of the SME will be remain SME until the recommendation tool of
portfolio management system will be completed.
Vendors are generally available for supporting the entire duration of the project
Proper infrastructure for hosting the tool is generally available
The entire project of restaurant construction will be completed within the budget
$400,000
The various project stakeholders are generally committed for fulfilling various roles that
are documented in the approved plan of the project
1.5 Constraints
The constraints of the project are provided below:
Improper budget forecasting creates financial challenge during the execution phase of the
project
If the internal resources are assigned to other operational tasks as well as projects then the
schedule of the project will adversely affect the schedule of the project

If the stakeholders of the project are not provided proper training, then they will not be
able to perform well and as a result, progress of the entire project will be obstructed.
