1. INTRODUCTION
Project management is a process which depends on the implementation of skills,
experiences and task to attain project objectives (What is project management?). A project can
be use in the small and huge structured organisation, it has a time limit from origin to end and
project manager has to accomplish projects in set deadlines (Todorović, Obradović and
Bushuyev, 2015). This project management report is based on the Austin Fraser which is a
consultancy firm working in UK. The enterprise is working in the recruitment sector and they are
having a mission to provide best services to unemployed people according to their skills,
education and experience. Austin has a mission to provide better job opportunities for
unemployed people according to their qualities. The organisation is having their branch office in
Thames Tower, Station Road, Reading RG1 1LX, now the higher management wants to expand
their services for more customers so they are changing their office to West Works, White City
Place, Wood Lane, London.
2. Body
1. The current office space of Austin Fraser is less than their actual need. They have to shift
their office in other building because they are going to target more customers in
upcoming time and employee strength will also increase in future (Svejvig and Andersen,
2015).
2. Customer are significant stakeholders, in current office they do not get necessary space
for sitting. Congested workplace also create trouble for employees because they do not
get proper space for walking. Workers are one of the most important asset of an
organisation and if they have issues relating to less space at workstation than if should be
solve on priority basis.
3. Issues in project
Shifting to another place will be very costly for the company. This will increase financial
burden on the enterprise and top level management will increase the targets of the employees
who will work in new office. Moving to other building will take significant amount of time and
senior manager may change their mind in upcoming time. Some employee may have problem
regarding this new change in the organisation, their new workplace can be too far from their

home and they may switch their job because of this project (Serra and Kunc, 2015). Some
permanent clients can initially face various kind of troubles in finding new office.
4. Assumptions of project
The current space of workstation is less then the actual need. Company want to expand
their business operation and they may target more potential clients in upcoming time. New
recruitment will be done in the enterprise, this means that the need of area will increase by
significant amount of time. James Simpson is the project head and all the work be done in his
guidance. This shifting of office will cost 0.75 million dollars to the corporation. Some employee
may resist for this change.
5. Potential risk and provision for them
Company is shifting because they want to increase their turnover by targetting more
clients but if they fail to so then it may result in huge loss because enterprise is investing
significant amount of money in this project (Too and Weaver, 2014). By doing effective
marketing and offering some free service new and more customer can be attracted in short period
of time. Some employee may refuse to work in new office because it can be far from their home,
by giving them more travelling allowance this issue can be resolved.
6. Timelines
Finding scope of shifting will be done in two days, the project will start on 1 of
December so this task will get complete on 2 of December. Planning of this work will take two
days and this task will get accomplish on 4th December. Almost 8 days get utilised in
implementation of the project. All the major work like removing furniture, selecting interior
designer will be done before 13th of December. Evaluation of the whole activity will take 3 days
and this program will end of 15th December.
7. Task allocation
Finding correct source of financing – Finance department will be responsible for this job.
They have to identify a sponsor for this project (Mir and Pinnington, 2014). They will also
monitor the inflow and outflow of the monetary resources and focus on minimising its wastage.
Replacing furniture – Purchase department of the company will take responsibility of
selling old furniture and at the same time buy new one. The have to play significant role in hiring
interior designer.

Solving queries of employees – Worker will have various kind of questions regarding

resources are not allowed in this project. So all responsible person have to track records of cost
and time, they have to work accordingly to accomplish project with in time frames and budget.
11. Methods to evaluate success
Evaluation of the project has to be done on the basis of organisational performance in
quarter (Schwalbe, 2015). Finance department has to measure their last year 4th quarter
performance after the implementation of this project which can help to them to evaluate the
success of this project against their objectives.
CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION
At the end, it can be concluded that shifting of office is the prime objective of this
project. The current capacity of the workplace is not sufficient for the company and they should
change their office. New workstation should be at a popular location and transportation
allowance of workers should be enhanced for resolving major issue of the staff members.
