2PROJECT MANAGEMENT
1. Introduction
Labuan Square Redevelopment is the name of the project that is under focus in this
report. The main gist of this project is that a new building will be constructed on a piece of
property in Labuan Square along with the demolition of a number of nearby shops and other
concrete structures.
This report focuses on the development of the project program plan for the Labuan
Square Redevelopment as well as discussion of applicable project management techniques, tools
and methodologies with respect to the PMBOK knowledge areas.
2. Parameters of the Project
2.1 Project Background
The main works in this project include the construction and demolition works with the
primary focus on the demolition of selected shops and construction of a two storeyed building
based on certain design specifications. For this project, a contractor will be hired who will take
care of all the technical field work required. He will also be responsible for hiring work force
with various skill sets like construction workers, vehicle operators, electrical workers, plumbers
and others.
2.2 Project Stakeholders
The stakeholders of the project will have to play significant roles in planning, execution
and closing the entire project (Tang, Panchal and Bradshaw 2018). The main stakeholders are
listed in the following table.
