1. Introduction
The paper mainly reflects on a housing builder that mainly engages in constructing
homes for various clients. A client has been secured who is interested to undertake construction
under the housing builder company. It is found that the clients generally have a budget of around
AUD$500,000 and wants to build the entire house within 12 months of time. The main role is to
keep the client satisfied so that the building can be constructed as per requirements within the
assumed timeline and budget. In this paper, PRINCE2 project management process is mainly
selected which is utilized for efficiently managing, building as well as delivering the home. In
addition to this practices related with lean project are incorporated in order to make sure that
budget and timeline restriction are successfully met within the undertaken project.
2. Proper selection as well as explanation of the selected PM process
In order to construct a home under the housing builder, PRINCE2 project management
process is mainly selected. According to Tomanek and Juricek (2015), PRINCE2 is considered
as one of the process-based approach for PM that generally helps in providing a tailored as well
as scalable method which is generally helpful in managing the work of the projects quite
effectively. The steps that are followed by using the PRINCE2 project includes directing a
project, starting up a project, initiating a project, managing stage boundaries, controlling a stage,
managing product delivery as well as closing the project. In addition to this, it is found that
PRINCE2 will be helpful in finalizing project needs, ensuring communication as well as helps in
managing the subcontractors and vendors.

2.1 Finalizing the needs of the clients
The client of the project wants that the housing builder must construct the home within
12 months of time by utilizing budget of around AUD$500,000. It is found that rough framing
must be created as as per that framing, all the work related with plumbing, construction as well
as electrical should be performed. In addition to this, it is quite necessary to perform drywall as
well as interior textures effectively by finishing the mechanical trims. Moreover, the tasks related
with installation of mirrors, shower doors as well as flooring should be done effectively so that
the house have all the basic facilities which are generally required (Siegelaub, 2017).
Furthermore, the resources which are used in the project must be checked regularly for ensuring
that high quality of resources as well as materials are used for undertaking the construction work.
2.2 Ensuring communication with the stakeholders
It is found that during undertaking the construction work with the help of PRINCE2,
effective and efficient communication is used by all the stakeholders in order to finish the work
on time. Effective communication in the project generally depends on both the verbal as well as
non-verbal body language which helps in transmitting a message while successfully relying on
cues for getting feedback (Jamali & Oveisi, 2016). By using proper communication medium, the
project managers share the goals and discusses the roles as well as responsibilities that the
project team needs to play in order to accomplish the task. In addition to this, the changes that
are needed within the PRINCE2 processes will generally be conveyed with the help of the
project stakeholders (Vaníckova, 2017). Moreover, the team utilizes the steps of PRINCE2
during the execution of the project and further maintains regular reporting system for updating
the progress as well as status of the project. In this project, communication is front as well as
center for project planning and thus they undertake meetings every week so that the problems as
