1. Overview
The report mainly reflects on one of the relocation projects that is generally
undertaken for relocating a family to Perth from Sunshine Coast. It is found that relocation of
the family is required as out of the 4 members, Jeff who is the head of the family has
generally got a job as a Managing Director in Perth. The family wants to shift with the two
children, a dog and 2 cars as well as with all their present belongings in Perth. The relocation
will be to a flat of four bedroom that is secured already. The last date for vacating the present
house of Jeff will be 20th January but the new sunburn house in Perth will commence on 27th
January 2019 and therefore it is very much necessary to commence the new house around 20th
January so that the family of Jeff can easily move. The expected cost that is needed for the
purpose of relocation will be around $15,000.
2. Criteria and assumption for preparing the milestone plan
The assumptions which are generally made by the project manager in order to prepare
the milestone plan as well as work breakdown structure list for the project that generally
details with the relocation of the family to Perth from the Sunshine Coast.
Task distribution: The major assumption that are generally made is that the tasks of
the project will be distributed properly so that the people who are associated with the project
will not overburdened with work. The four phases in which the entire project of relocating
will executed will be completed successfully with the help of the resources who provides
equal effort in project completion.
Resource distribution: It is assumed that the resources of the project must be
distributed properly as per the requirement so that the work of the project will be executed
quite successfully. If the project resources are not distributed properly then it will be quite
difficult to complete the work of the project within the pre-assumed deadline of the project.

Required time: The project manager assumes that the work of the project will be
completed before 27th January as the new suburb house will generally commence on 27th
and therefore the family can easily relocate. If the project does not get completed within the
assumed time then the budget of the project can rise and in order to avoid such situation, it is
important to complete the project within the expected time.
Required cost: It is assumed that for executing the project of relocation, the budget
that is generally required will be around $15,000. It is quite necessary to relocate to Perth
from Sunshine Coast within the budget that is provided otherwise Jeff who is the family head
will generally face financial crisis. Thus, it is quite necessary to execute the entire project
within the budget that is given.

Changes in the schedule: In order to commence the new house in Perth within 20th
January, it is very much necessary to make necessary changes within the schedule of the
project. The time that is required for commencing the new house in Perth is reduced such that
the family of Jeff can be able to move relocate with all the belongings.
Change in total time: The total time that is generally needed for the purpose of
relocation generally reduces as the time that is time that is required for commencing the new
house is generally minimized. The change in the total duration of the project is considered to
be beneficial as with the help of the new schedule, the family will be able to move to the new
house without facing any type of difficulty.
Change in the needed resources: In order to make changes within the schedule of
the project, it is found that some changes are generally made within the need of the project
resources. More resources will be required in order to execute the work of the project within
a short period of time such that the family pf Jeff can easily relocate to Perth from the
sunshine coast without facing any type of challenges and issues.

7. Personal reflection
After undertaking the project that reflects on relocation of a family to Perth from
Sunshine coast QLD, I have gained lot of experiences as well as skills in project
management. The knowledge that I have achieved b conducting this project will generally
guide me in my future project and as a result I can be able to execute those projects
successfully. Furthermore, I have gained proper skills in project management that will be
helpful in increasing my skills in managing as well as handling a project properly such that
the goals as well as objectives of the project can be achieved quite successfully.
I have utilized proper project management skills so that the entire work of the project
can be executed properly. The tools as well as techniques of project management generally
helps me in pre-assuming the time as well as cost that will be required for executing the
relocation project to Perth from the Sunshine Coast. Furthermore, the Gantt chart that is

created by me reflects the total duration, the time needed for executing each of the activities,
dependencies, resources required as well as the cost which is needed for the purpose of
relocation. I have analyzed that alignment of different functions of the stakeholders with the
project activities are quite beneficial for executing the relocation project on time. In addition
to this, the changes or adjustment that are generally made within the schedule of the project
generally improves my skill in change management and the entire process of handling the
changes which are mainly required within the work of the project. Moreover, the changes that
are made within the project is handled by me successfully.
