Part One
Project Description: RALS displays it’s farming and lifestyle equipment in a show organized by them in the
month of November for three days every year. They sell tickets and the money they own by selling is
donated to a charitable trust i.e. ICV. The ticketing system causes many problems for being manual like on
the first day of the show the ticket counter gets overcrowded by visitors and some visitors try to break the
boundary and get inside without paying for tickets. When RALS came to know about the situation, the
organization decided to transform its manual ticket booking system to web-based ticket booking system.
For doing this, RALS gave the project to its old consultant Virtucon.
Area of Impact:
Rank 1 - Customer: The customers will be very happy as they will not have to wait at the ticket counter for
their turn as now they can book their tickets online.
Rank 2 - Operational: As now most of the customers will book their tickets online, a load of work on the
security gate and the ticket counter can be reduced.
Rank 3 – Finance: Now RALS will be able to earn more money by selling tickets because now more
customers will visit the show as the new ticketing system is web-based they no longer will have to stand in
the queue.
Rank 4 – Strategy: RALS will own more money by selling tickets now, so they will be able to donate more
money to ICV.
Rank 5 – Social: Now RALS can donate more money to the ICV charitable trust to show that they are too
concerned about the society.
Project value:
Value 1 (Faster): Now all the work will be done faster as the visitors will book their tickets online so on the
first day of the show there will be less crowd in the ticket counter in compare to before and the volunteers in
the ticket counter will be able to do their work faster.
Value 2 (Do more): After the introduction of the new online ticketing system of the new ticketing system
RALS will get positive outcomes as per their expectations and will be motivated to do more shows.

identifying the visitors should be contained.
