1. Set of achievable goals and explanation of measuring it as project
progresses
The main goal of Royale Pizza is to enhance the quality of food that it serves which will
further enhance the annual sales as well as profitability of the organization. In order to achieve
the goals, the organization wants to renovate the present shop by adding some new equipment’s
that will further be helpful in enabling expansion within the business. In addition to this, the
organization wants to reduce food wastage as well as wants to enhance the profitability of the
organization by 25%. Moreover, the estimated time for the project is 4 months and the entire
project must be completed within AU$40,000.
The goals of the project can be measured with the application of following techniques:
Tracking: If the entire project is tracked on a weekly basis, then it will be quite easy to
make sure that the project is progressing properly and thus the goals of the project will be
achieved within the estimated time (Hornstein 2015).
Analyzing the budget utilization: If the budget that is utilized within the project is ass
per the schedule of the project then it can be ensured that the project is in right direction and it
will get completed on the budget that is estimated.
2. Scope statement and determining methods for identifying project scope
The scope statement for the Royale pizza is categorized into in scope and out scope.
In scope
 The present shop of the Pizza will be renovated
 Buying of new equipment’s

 Providing air-conditioner system
 Increment in the capacity of the compressor
 Proper as well as an effective way of cleaning the exhaust system
 Adding additional dining spaces
 Completing the project within AU$40,000
The methods as well as processes that are utilized for determining the scope of the project are
illustrated below:
Planning scope management: It is quite necessary to create the scope management plan
that further helps in covering the scope definition as well as validation (Todorovic et al. 2015).
All this information is helpful in preventing scope creep as well as helpful in handling different
types of change requests. In addition to this, it all also reflects the ways in which the deliverables
will be accepted.
Collecting requirements: The procedure mainly involves proper documentation of the
stakeholders needs with the proper intent of meeting the objectives of the project (Badewi 2016).
Within this particular process, the project managers generally utilize different types of
techniques as well as tools for successfully collecting the needs from different stakeholders.
Creating WBS: The work breakdown structure is one of the significant elements of the
entire scope management procedure that helps the project managers as well as the project team to
break down the high-level scope statement into proper manageable units of work successfully.
The WBS will be helpful in providing proper complete task that is mainly required for finishing
the project work (Shirazi et al. 2017).

Validating requirements: The validation requirement procedure mainly focuses on the
customer acceptance. It is when the customer generally accepts all the deliverables of the project
and this procedure mainly occurs at the end of each phase. During the entire procedure, the
customer can be able to give feedback on the basis of the work that is mainly performed.
Information about the requirement validation phase is important before determining the scope of
the project so that the needs as well as requirements of the customers will get fulfilled.
Monitoring requirements: The scope control procedure is mainly utilized in order to
monitor the status of the project effectively and for successfully managing the scope of the
project. If proper idea about the ways of requirement management is achieved then the scope of
the project can be determined properly in such a way that the entire project will get monitored
successfully for ensuring that the project is on track and it will get completed on time (Pheng
2018). In addition to this, information about control scope helps in avoiding changes within the
project.
Defining a strategy: The main key is to make the most important choices is to have a proper
understanding on the objectives of the project (Meredith, Mantel and Shafer 2017). By having a
properly defined objectives assists in developing the entire team and its structure quite
effectively. In addition to this, by knowing the objectives, the project team members will be able
to achieve the work successfully and thus the scope of the project will be fulfilled.
3. Project delivery life cycle methodology and ways for measuring success
It is found that the design build is one of the most popular project delivery life cycle
where the owner hires team under the contract for successfully delivering the construction
project from the initiation to the completion phase (Winter et al. 2017). As the team is mainly

responsible of successfully designing as well as constructing different types of components then
the changes in the price is kept to a minimum which are further isolated to some instances where
unknown requests or cost necessitates increases. The design build method is mainly utilized for
different types of construction projects where the owner requires to properly establish the
requirement prior to the design.
Royale pizza is one of the companies that is established in the year 2007 and the main
aim of the company is to increase the quality of food that will further enhance the annual sales as
well as profitability. As the owner of the shop decided to renovate the entire shop therefore the
renovation will be done based on the “design build” method. This delivery method is mainly
selected as the project has a tight schedule and the entire project is mainly splited for delivering
it in a package-based approach (Park and Kwak 2017). The stages of the design build project
delivery lifecycle methodology are mainly elaborated below:
Design phase: In this specific phase, proper project plan for renovating the Pizza shop
was done. In addition to this, the entire design for the building is done which is further approved
by the contractor.
Procurement and delivery phase: In the procurement and delivery phase, all the needs
as well as purchase order for renovation are done. In addition to this, the way of delivery as well
as expediting are also selected (Harthan et al. 2018).
Construction phase: In the construction phase, all the construction work for completing
the renovation of the building was done. Moreover, other works associated with construction are
also performed by the workers.

Installation and painting phase: In this specific phase, installation as well as painting
activities are done so that the entire pizza shop will be renovated successfully (Svejvig and
Andersen 2015).
The success of the project will be measured with the help of the following factors that are
elaborated below:
Achieving project goals and objectives: If the work of renovation gets complete
properly by creating space which further enhances the yearly profit of the shop by 25% then the
project will be considered to be very much successful (Badewi 2016).
Completion of project on time and budget: If the work of renovation gets completed
within 4 months of time by utilizing budget of around AU$40,000 then the project will be
considered to be successful.
