Introduction
A project has a large number of actions that must be accomplished by the project team.
Project management is the process of planning, organizing, and controlling all of the activities.
The project manager is the individual who is in charge of overseeing all activities. The project
manager is responsible for ensuring that the project's goals and objectives are met and that the
project is completed efficiently while making the greatest use of available resources (Aliero and
et. al., 2021). The provided project report relates to the selection of appropriate home appliance
proposals for the business firm. The mentioned company operates with 20 stores for sales in the
UK and also provides after-sales services in Europe. This will be inclusive of selecting the
project based on rationales of quantitative as well as qualitative measures (Athanasiadis,
Papadopoulos and Doukas, 2021).
Project selection
The various project being available to the home appliance company including; Project
proposal 1- Smart (robot) vacuum cleaner, Project proposal 2- electric cattle, Project Proposal 3-
electric digital toaster and Project proposal 4- electric stand fan. The selection of the project was

Priority
From the analysis of the matrix table, Project proposal 1- Smart (robot) vacuum cleaner
was selected as observing weighted score of 3,120. In addition to this, there was greater ROI i.e.,
Return on Investment was being obtained which is also mentioned in the appendix of this report.
It suggests better profitability of the project work and guided better terms of operations when
operating in a business environment (Garg and et. al., 2021).
Project structure and skills
The structure and relative skills in a project firm is regulated through components of
project manager, project team, stakeholders and other important personnel participating in the
project. Each individuals body will follow particular duties and responsibilities in order to
efficiently implement the project in the firm (Heo and Kim, 2021). For the instance of a business

firm, the roles and responsibilities of various parties are outlined below in order to introduce the
selected quality assurance program for the customers’ support facing in the company:
Project manager: The project manager is a key player in the project's execution who is
the one in charge of effectively planning, executing, monitoring, regulating and closing out the
project. The project manager will be in charge of the whole project, including all resources and
financial requirements. The manager would guide his team toward the project's goals and
objectives.
Project team: The project team will be responsible for adhering to all of the project
manager's rules and procedures, as well as using all of their abilities to achieve the project's
objectives. They will also be responsible for contributing successfully to the project objectives
and planning of different project-related activities, as well as completing the tasks allocated to
them by the project manager and working to the quality standards required of them.
Stakeholders: The company's principal stakeholders will be accountable for preserving
the company's balance and performance. These could be inclusive sponsors of the project firm,
suppliers, customers, employees, managers, government and many such related individuals to the
project firm.
Top management: The project manager will get necessary project supervision from top
management, as well as the necessary resources. The provided element in the project structure is
guided by an appropriate skills-set to bind various project firm activities.
In the case of the home appliance company the Quality Assurance Program, the higher
authority, as well as the project sponsor of the chosen company, will be responsible for the scope
management and acceptance of the home appliance company’s project deliverables based on the
project implementation and feedback and input provided by the project manager and
stakeholders of the company (Holden, 2021).
PART 2: Project documents
Introduction
The term project document refers to proof of working criteria or the basis of the project
firm. Such documents are aimed at increasing the viability of the project firm and defining better
associated working in the business market. The provided project includes scope statement and
ensures the progress of the project through the development of the WBS and Gantt chart. In

addition to this, an effective risk management plan was also drafted in for delivering better
efficiency of the project report (Iqbal and et. al., 2021).
Project brief and scope statement
The complete project scope statement for the home appliance company, to establish the
quality assurance program for customer support project, is mentioned below:
Description of the project's scope: The project scope is defined as a section of the project
plan that contains a complete analysis of the project goals and objectives that must be met in
order for the project to be implemented successfully. The goal of this initiative is to assist the
organization in maintaining its quality. It will aid in the implementation of a quality assurance
program for customer assistance.
Product acceptance criterion: A product acceptance criterion is a set of requirements that
a program must meet in order to be accepted by consumers. It can be a one-of-a-kind feature that
enables users or customers to accept it. In this project, the software will assist the organization in
managing its quality by assisting the team in managing and organizing their work, as well as
providing rigorous quality assurance for the customers' assistance by achieving the appropriate
requirements.
Project deliverables: They are the real and intangible goods and services created
throughout the project's successful completion. It might be a report, a paper, or any other type of
item. The project manager will document all of the project's requirements, and the project
deliverable will be a software program that will be implemented for quality assurance at the
chosen organization. The program will also be simple to use and dependable (Ji, Liao and Yang,
2021).
Project Exclusion: A project exclusion is a list of things, tasks, or activities that are not
included in the project scope. It can be a list of items that are supposed to be included but are not
clearly stated. The quantity of target systems or the speed characteristic are among the project
exclusions in this project.
Constraints of the project: Project constraints are described as limiting elements for a
project that might affect the quality and overall effective delivery of the project, perhaps leading
to project failure. Some of the most important restrictions in a project are:
Cost: One of the most important limitations for every project is cost. Completing the
project within the budget set by the project sponsors may sometimes put the project manager

under pressure. The budget for the quality assurance software in this project was enough and
well-planned.
Time: Another restriction is time, which is one of the most prevalent constraints that the
project manager must deal with when completing the project, as time has a significant impact on
the project's quality. For this project, four months were allotted for implementation, which was
sufficient (Narendran and et. al., 2022).
Quality: The overall goal of this project is to assure the quality of the customer support
function; quality was successfully ensured throughout the project for improved results.
Scope: It outlined the project's specific requirements, such as what the project must accomplish.
The goal of this project was to introduce a program for quality assurance for customer support
operations.
Project assumptions: Project assumptions are the aspects of the project that are assumed
to be true or actual without any particular proof. Certain assumptions are critical for good project
planning. The list of assumptions that the project team and corporate stakeholders are working
under in order to finish the project comprises the following:
Resources: Consumers will be present to test at the times that they have agreed to, and
training rooms will be accessible as needed. A second software developer will also be present.
Delivery: The project servers are delivered fully configured.
Budget: The project cost will be as previously agreed, and any needed training will be
provided internally at no additional expense.
Scope: After receiving clearance from a higher authority, the project's scope will not alter.
WBS and Gantt chart
As the name implies, a work breakdown structure is one in which a project has been
broken down into smaller portions or tasks in order to finish it efficiently and on time. This
structure divides the tasks and assigns them to the best-suited team for the assignment, while also
keeping the overall project timeline in mind. This allows the project manager to set a target for
the staff, allowing the company to improve employee performance by looking for more efficient
ways to accomplish the project.

budget, and overall success or failure. The report involved the selection of a project out of
several options available which was done on the basis of suitability with the company’s
