INTRODUCTION
Project management refers to the procedure of special knowledge, tools, abilities and techniques
in order to deliver the appropriate value to the people who are working for the betterment of the
organization. Although the requirements keep on changing with the uniqueness of projects as
each project requires individual efforts (McClory, Read and Labib, 2017). Hence, the ultimate
goals of effective project management are to complete the project in understandable and required
manner.
This report will illustrate the concept of project management by including certain aspects
such as project management plan, network diagram, stakeholder’s analysis and work breakdown
structure. Apart from this, the study will also highlight the thoughts in context of risk register
along with measures to control the event.
TASK 1
Appropriate project management methodology for this project management
This project is all about to develop music event by transport for London as it wants to
celebrate its 40th anniversary. Till now, it has developed successful road projects and made
people beneficial. It wants to celebrate its success and want to involve people in this event.
Agile and waterfall project management methodology can make project manager able in
completing this project successful.
Waterfall: It is a linear sequential lifecycle model and everything needs to be described
in written documentation (Kisling, 2019). It is considered one of the best methodologies as
compared to others. In this type, project manager cannot go back or behind to previous stage so,
they need to ensure that each stage is effective.
Pros
Suitable for smaller project where all requirements are well-defined.
Cons
Project manager cannot go to previous stage for modification and need to complete each
stage before going further.
Error can be fixed only at the time of phase.

Agile: It is the methodology by which manager manage project by breaking down the whole
project into several phases (Beerbaum, 2021). The main thing that needs to be considered while
making use of this methodology is: collaboration and continuous communication with
stakeholders.
Pros
It is flexible methodology
It improves communication
Cons
It becomes hard for project manager to predict.
Poor documentation.
On the basis of above discussed methodology, it can be said that Agile will be better as it is large
project and project manager can go to previous stage as well.
