The overarching aim or function
The aim of this project plan is to develop website for the non-profit organization which
will streamline donation page, links for the social media, pages for the individual staff,
responsive design as well as financial transparency. The aim is to use the agile principles and
practices in the development of website for flexibility as well as offer quick and continuous
development of the software solutions.
The scale
The web development business is scaled in the non-profit organization and there is an
increase into the profit by 15% by development of all the website pages. The implemented
solution provides equal and better performance along with functionality of the non-profit
organization.
The characterization
Following are the characteristics of the web development project for the non-profit
organization such as:
 There should be good use of color scheme in the webpage which may contain 2-3 colors
which create a proper tone for the organization.
 The webpage should have text in black color on white background, but it is acceptable if
contrast is in proper range. Fonts should be used which is easy to read with font size 10-
12 pts.
 The visual appeal of the webpage is increased with use of higher quality photography
(Kerzner & Kerzner, 2017).

 The webpage should load in 20 seconds and less via dial up.
 There should be descriptive link text for the social media which makes the visitors easier
to find way around the site (Schwalbe, 2015).
 The website should require testing in latest versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox and
Safari.
 The screen resolution of the webpage uses resolution of 1024*768 pixels.
Team member roles and responsibilities
The responsibilities of each project team members are determined based on the agile
principles which are summarized in following table:

 Review the project plan and identify the assigned tasks
Web Developer  Program and debug the web applications
 Design and develop the web applications (Heagney, 2016).

Network Engineer  Maintain and administer the computer networks
 Troubleshoot and resolve the hardware and software problems
 Design and implement new solutions meets with current business
environment (Turner, 2016).

 Install, configure and maintain the operating systems
 Ensure higher level of the system’s infrastructure accessibility
Tester  Review and analyze the specifications of the website required for the
non-profit organization (Kerzner, 2018).
 Execute the scripts of the test and review the results
 Report and document the technical issues
Designer  Create visual concepts and use of computer software for design the
website based on selected company’s objectives
 Develop layout of the website
 Selection of colors and images for the website
Training specialist  Assist to develop the project communication plan (Verzuh, 2015).

Method to keep members engaged
Following are the methods which are used to keep the project team members engaged
into the development project work of website are as follows:
Conduct interview: Interview is performed among the project team members to collect
information about their experience to work in the project (Binder, 2016). The organization can
improve management to lessen the turnover.
Regularly communicate: It is required to keep the communication channels open.
Communication plan is required to implement in the organization so that all the team members
can share their issues and problems with each other to be solved on timely basis. In case of
hosting discussion, people are broken down in smaller groups (Larson & Gray, 2017). It allows
the individuals to be comfortable with the public interaction.
Remote members: The key is to keep the members informed throughout providing a
platform for effective communication such as e-newsletters, social media group; online
conferences are increasing touch points with the non-profit members.
Method of communication
Following are the methods of communication which are used to communicate with the
project team members such as:
Verbal communication: This method uses words to share information with each others.
It is a two-way communication to interact between the team members and project manager. This

method of communication includes conversation as well as storytelling (Kerzner & Kerzner,
2017).
Non-verbal communication: This method is included implicit messages whether it is
expressed throughout non-verbal behaviors. This method of communication includes reading
what is among the lines with written communication as well as hear of unsaid of the verbal
communication (Verzuh, 2015). It includes body language, facial expressions, tone as well as
pitch of the voice in addition to gestures.
Written communication: This method is an effective mode of the business
communication. This method of communication includes emails, social media and letters.
Oral communication: It is the process to express information and ideas by the word of
mouth. It is used to improve abilities of the oral communication (Heagney, 2016). This method
of communication includes video conferencing, modulation of voice, and clarity of the speech as
well as voice chat.
Face-to-face communication: It is a concept which is used to describe social interaction
being carried out face-to-face with the top management level (Schwalbe, 2015). This method of
communication includes mutual influence of the individual’s direct physical presence with the
body language.
