INTRODUCTIONThe current report deals with the project management of a business. Nisa limited is taken as a organizationwhich is a small scale retailer of food items which is headquartered in Scunthorpe, United Kingdom. The mainobjective of this retail firm is to deliver the benefits for the independent retailers and giving them the opportunity toexpand their market share in this competitive market. All the objectives of the project are set and examined by the project manager himself and he is responsiblefor delivering the appropriate project to the client as per the needs and requirements thereon. The success of theproject is based on the project development plan as this is the backbone for any project which gives the broadoutline of the project which acts as a guidelines for the team members (Svejvig, 2015). There are various constraintsfor the project like the duration of the project, cost involved in the project and the utilization of the resources in theproject .The project breakdown structure defines the phases in which the work is done and is followed by the Ganttcharts which specifies the beginning and the ending date of the project . The later part of the project is concernedwith the various methodologies, tools and techniques used in the analysis of the data and finally the appropriaterecommendations have been specified.TASK 1P1 Devise project aims and objectives.Background-The above topic is implementing CSR activities within organizations to meet the sustainableobjectives. In this process the chosen organization Nisa Ltd a small scale retail sector organization in UnitedKingdom which food and other products and which plans to utilize the benefit of CSR activities for the welfare ofsociety and help in providing them with necessary and useful products to fulfill their needs (Brones, 2014). CSRactivities help in the increasing the company's performance and creating a good brand name in the market as well inthe society.Aim- in order to promote the sustainability in the organization Nisa ltd.Objectives- Following are the objectives of the present project management report.1.To understand all the aspects of the project management through different phases.2.To understand the various Corporate social responsibility activities which help in promoting thesustainability and profitability.3.To understand the business of Nisa in all the aspects like scope, quality, communications by understandingthe life cycle of the project.4.To understand methodologies of executing the project, control the project, monitor the project and finallyclose down of the project (Hacklin, 2013).5.To understand various methodologies used in measuring the work performance.P2 Produce a project management plan. For beginning any project there is a brief outline which is created in advance so as to know the exactdirection one should start its operations from. The project management plan helps in getting the outline as well as
the information about the project and the factors which have an impact n the project. It also defines the roles andresponsibilities . In the beginning the project looks simpler but as we proceed in the project, it gets complex and tounderstand this complexities a project management plan is required. It has five phased as follows-Project Conception- In the first stage the concept of the project is stated by the project manager(Stark,2105). It gives a brief idea about what the project is all about and also it carefully examines thefactors which determine whether the project will turn out profitable or not. It also gives a realistic ideaabout the project in the real life. All the feasibility tests are done during this stage only afterconceptualization only the entire project can be worked out. As without the actual idea of the plan.Project Planning- A project planning stage, the draft plan is drafted and the entire project plan will goaccordingly. Planning is the essential stage of the project management plan as it drafts the background ofactivities to be performed as this is the base of the project and the team members. The plan is developedwhich considers all the factors affecting the project. Ch includes the cost, duration, time taken, quality ofwork, risk involved and the resources utilized (Hwang, 2014). In the planning phases itself all the risksassociated with the project are clearly identified and the necessary steps are taken to work on the project. Atthis itself, the project manager should prioritize the project and accordingly allocate the budget anddefining the necessary resources required for doing the same.Project Execution- For executing the project firstly a project team is formed and the work is dividedamong the team members and they are informed about their responsibilities and the main work of executiondepends on them when the responsibilities are identified then only they can perform the work properly.According to the efficiencies of the workers and employees the wok is allocated two them as if properallocation is not done then the work may not be performance according to the set standards and will notdeliver the appropriate quality results.. A project is considered good for execution if it has followed theplan drafted before. This phase allows us to know the if the project will be successful or not.Project Control- In this stage, when the work is getting executed it is the responsibility of the projectmanager to check whether the work is performed according to the set objectives or not. If not performedaccordingly, then the necessary steps are taken to monitor the work and taking various corrective measuresif it is not according to the scheduled plan (Kerzner, 2013). As the standards are set and the actual work isallocated and performed then the actual work is compared to the standard work and the deviations areknown and the corrective measures are taken to control the same. The main factors are the time taken tocomplete the work and the cost involved in doing the project. If changes are necessary then actions aretaken accordingly like the schedule can be changed.Illustration1: Project Management Phases
