1. Introduction
The paper mainly reflects on the principles of project management in healthcare industry.
It is found that many leading organizations across the different geographic borders are embracing
project management as one of the means in order to control the spending as well as for
improving the results of the project (Project Management Institute, 2013). It is found that the use
of project management methodologies, models as well as standards are generally helpful in
achieving desirable outcomes within the project of healthcare industry that further helps in
embracing different contemporary organizations. In this paper, application of PM processes,
methodologies as well as different knowledge areas of PM are generally discussed. The paper
also elaborates the relation of project management success and failures and further reflects on the
consequences when a project management practice is not implemented within the project.
The organization chosen for the analysis is Calvarycare. Calvary is a not-for-profit
Catholic health care organisation. The organization has the mission of providing quality,
compassionate healthcare to the most vulnerable, including those reaching the end of their life.
Sisters of the Little Company of Mary health Care started this health care organization in the
year of 1885. Since then to now, the organization is providing health care services in Australia.
2. Application of effective project management processes
According to Wysocki (2014), the project management processes is mainly defined as
one of the administration process that helps in planning as well as controlling the services for the
successful implementation of the project within the healthcare industry. It is found that the
project management processes that are used within the different phases of the project are
