Introduction BackgroundAbu Dhabi is considered as a famous city and capital of the United Arab Emirates. It is situatedon a T-shape Island. The city had a population of more than 1.4 milling during 2015. It is a verybeautiful and attractive tourist place. Project DescriptionHousing construction in Abu Dhabi is growing very speedily, and there is a high demand forsmart housing development. As a project manager, I am responsible for building 10 smart housesin Abu Dhabi which will be with 2 floors; each floor should be 200 sq. m. or 400 sq. m. Thesmart house should be such which measure temperature and control different functions likecoolers or heaters by utilizing microcontrollers. New smart houses of Abu Dhabi must contain anElectrical heater, lights, thermoelectric Air Conditioner, and Fan, etc. Project ObjectivesThe main aim of the project is to develop 10 new smart houses in Abu Dhabi which will be with2 floors, or each floor should be 400 and 200 sq. m. Every developed smart house of Abu Dhabishould have thermoelectric AC, fan, electric heater, lights and Fan. The project managementteam of the city want to accomplish the project as per requirements with low cost and low time.Project Success Criteria Success criteria of the project can successfully obtain by fulfilling the desired objective of theproject and constructing the new houses as per the demand of individuals (Sears, 2015). Thereare following important factors which should be considered:2
The success of the project highly depends on the experience of the project managementteam. If the project management team of the city is strong and experienced, it cansuccessfully meet the project requirements. The absence of coordination and ineffective level of communication sometimes brings inthe failure of the project (Fewings, 2013). So, it is the responsibility of the citygovernment to choose a highly dedicated team for accomplishing the project in asuccessful manner. Project Scope Statement Abu Dhabi city wants to enhance the number of smart houses in the city by developing 10 moresmart houses. The market research represented that the city has a potential growth opportunityfor all inclusive and new smart houses in the Abu Dhabi. MASDAR want to establish 10 moresmart houses in the city. These houses should be in the form of 2 floors, and every floor shouldbe 200 or 400 sq. m. Every house of the city must have a combination of thermoelectric AirConditioners, fan, lights, and electric heater. MASDAR require efficient infrastructure works sothat they can fulfil the growing demands. Long-lasting and efficient smart design of new houseswill help the city to deal with growing demands of smart houses of people. This will enhance thepopulation and growth of the city in the near future. 3
