and demands in this sector keep on changing at a rapid scale. The project includes the
activities that will be conducted to open material store of M&S in Australia. There will be
various activities that will be included in order to open the store in Australia. The report
covers a post and the response followed by the project management plan.
Phase 1

The project involves the opening of a new Marks & Spencer store in Australia so that it may
mark global presence. There are several risks associated with the project and the primary risk
is the changing market dynamics. M&S is a brand that is from the fashion and clothing
domain and the customer expectations and demands in this sector keep on changing at a rapid
scale. By the time the store is constructed and is opened for the customers, there is a
probability that the customer trends and patterns will change. In such a scenario, the company
will not be able to experience the expected returns and outcomes. Also, it will not be possible
to achieve the determined benefits and profits. The market risks are therefore, one of the
primary risk areas that may appear and it will be essential to make sure that the in-depth
market analysis is done to avoid these risks.
Response
The risk that is highlighted in the forum post is one of the major concerns that may be
observed. This is because the market is dynamic and the demand cycle may shift by the time
the store is opened. There is also threat of competitors and new entrants that may have an
impact on the customer demands and requirements. However, there are other risks associated

limited presence in Australia. The project includes the activities that will be conducted to
open material store of M&S in Australia. There will be various activities that will be included
in order to open the store in Australia. These will include planning, analysis, communication
& networking, marketing, construction, and several other activities.
Project Aims & Objectives
The aim of the project is to successfully conduct the research and analysis to open material
store of M&S in Australia.
The objectives of the project include the completion of all the project tasks and activities on
time and within the estimated budget. The objective is to open the M&S store in Australia so
that it can provide enhanced profits and revenues (Joslin and Muller, 2015).
