1 INTRODUCTION
The introduction chapter identifies the purpose of developing this plan, the goal of the project, the
key project assumptions and the alternatives considered for the project.
1.1 PURPOSE OF THIS PROJECT MANAGEMENT PLAN
The purpose of this document is discussing the process, procedures and the techniques that are
used for implementation of the E Taxi project. This document will be circulated among the project
manager and the stakeholders of this E Taxi project, including the project sponsor, to have an idea of
the process of implementation of the project and the project progress.
1.2 PROJECT GOAL
The E taxi project goal is develop a smartphone application that will make the process of taxi
booking easier for the daily commuters in the peak hours.
1.3 KEY ASSUMPTIONS/CONSTRAINTS
Assumptions-
ď‚· The E Taxi project will be completed in eight months
ď‚· Timely fund release is expected from the sponsors
Constraints
ď‚· The project sponsor can be contacted only two times in a week
ď‚· The project should be finished within 10 months
1.4 ALTERNATIVES CONSIDERED
The alternatives considered are indicated as follows-
ď‚· A delay of maximum 1 month is permissible
ď‚· The project can go over budget by a maximum of 5%
2 SCOPE MANAGEMENT
A schedule plan for management of the project’s scope is prepared with the help of MS project
(appendix C).
The WBS, summary, cost and deliverables of each task of the project are indicated in the figure
below-

a project. The scheduling of this E-Taxi project is completed by making use of MS project. The Gantt

cost of the required resources along with the equipment cost needed to finish the project as per
plan. The project aims in development of a smartphone application and therefore, the coding and
testing of the application part will be outsourced. The cost table below provides an idea of the cost
of the hardware and software requirements of a project
