infrastructure. Glasgow City Region, Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, Inverness and Highlands,
Edinburgh and South East Scotland, Stirling and Clackmannanshire and Tay Cities are six city

City deal region has been committed to provide fund of £135 million to the Inverness and
Highland City Region Deal. At the same time, £53 million has been contributed by United
Kingdom government, among which the £127 million by Highland council and regional partners.
So commitment and funding providing by three of the organisation has helped in making
Inverness and Highlands smarter and fairer religion (Silvius, (2017). Therefore, the project has
been mainly implemented with an motive to develop sector such as tourism and life science by
promoting digitalisation, innovations and internationalisation.

internationalisation that is crucial for every economy. People like to try new and innovative idea
rather than sticking to old procedure to complete the task. Internationalisation will also be
promoted through project i.e people can easily travel from one country to another or more people
from different country will be attracted (Kerzner, (2017). In addition to this, it will result in
creating good pay job opportunity for the people thereby enhancing their disposable income and
living standard. Then the youth will remain within the country only as they are provided with
good salary or wages in their own country. So they need not have to shift to other country for
better a job and have a good career ahead.
The project is also successful because in recent scenario, each and every task is being
completed through digital technology as it has contributed in effective communication between
the people in limited time and cost. So, city region deal, UK government by making efforts to
promote the project of promoting digital in rural Europe will be fruitful. Redevelopment of
Inverness Castle contribute in preserving the social, cultural and tradition of country and
generating awareness about the same to people living in the society. After completion of the
planning process, an business case is being outlined and furthermore submitted to the
government of United Kingdom. Wi-FI project is an early component of program that has been
successfully completed which is offer Wi-fi facilities to city of Inverness and other 14
settlements through Highlands (City region deal project information, (2020). Along with it, a
Joint digital highland action plan has been established in order to accelerate provision of
effective mobile coverage and broadband.
The project in Inverness and Highlands was further successful as it will contribute in
providing around 6000 new homes, among which the 1800 are available at affordable rates so
that needy people can acquire and live. Regional air link with global hub is also ensured that
results in developing and maintenance of digital competence. There will be high growth in
business through more effective digital connectivity (Tereso and et.al., (2019). At last in this

innovative approach of learning. All these clearly state that the project is very successful as it
have sufficient fund, support and capabilities to attract more and more tourist through brining
innovation or changes.

From the above report it can be concluded that project management is one of the essential
process undertaken by the manager in order to manage the project and achieve desire goals.
Likewise, in Inverness and highland a project of redevelopment of Inverness castle into must see
attraction has been made that will represent the culture and heritage of the whole region.
